This Mother’s Day, while families gather with love, one mother here in our community is facing the heartbreaking threat of being torn away from her loved ones.

Join us THIS SUNDAY at 7:30 PM at Red Rock Park in Lynn for a Mother’s Day Vigil to stop the deportation of Mariola.

No mother should live in fear of being separated from her family.
No child should have to wonder if their mother will come home.

Come stand with Mariola. Bring your voice, your heart, and your solidarity.

This is a call to community organizations, particularly those serving families, libraries, and community centers. Sharing information in multiple languages and distributing it widely, including on social media, is essential. We often talk about providing services and resources for families, yet families cannot access or trust those services if information is not available in a language they understand or in a way that allows them to feel safe communicating. With so many translation resources available, there is no reason for language access to remain a barrier.

Este es un llamado a las organizaciones comunitarias, en particular a aquellas que sirven a familias, bibliotecas y centros comunitarios. Compartir información en varios idiomas y difundirla ampliamente, incluyendo en las redes sociales, es esencial. A menudo hablamos de brindar servicios y recursos para las familias, sin embargo, las familias no pueden acceder ni confiar en esos servicios si la información no está disponible en un idioma que comprendan o de una manera que les permita sentirse seguras al comunicarse. Con tantos recursos de traducción disponibles, no hay razón para que el acceso al idioma siga siendo una barrera.
