Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement.

After twelve years of exceptional leadership, our Executive Director, Betsy Stark-Miller is retiring on June 30, 2026. Betsy’s commitment and knowledge has strengthened our program, expanded our reach to multiple counties, and positively impacted countless individuals. Beyond these achievements, Betsy has fostered a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and purpose that will guide our mission for years to come.

Our Board has identified our next leader in Anna Patterson, who has served as CASA for Children’s Development and Communications Director for three years. Anna will begin her new role as CEO on July 1, 2026. Anna brings a wealth of nonprofit knowledge and experience including prior experience as an executive director.

Please join us in celebrating Betsy on her retirement and welcoming Anna into her new role!

Jennifer will be greatly missed by all of us in the CASA family. Jennifer not only provided unwavering leadership for her local program but was a key activator in the development of the Oregon CASA Network. Our work, commitment, and values will carry on her legacy in all that we do. The OCN is forever grateful for having a friend and colleague in her.

As the number of children involved with child welfare in Wasco County has continued to increase in recent years, Columbia Gorge CASA is proud to open a satellite office in The Dalles. This new space reflects our commitment to supporting the community and providing a welcoming place to meet with our advocates locally.

To celebrate this exciting addition, we’ll begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:30 PM in partnership with The Dalles Chamber of Commerce. Afterward, there will be time to socialize, connect, and see the small but important space. At 5:30 PM, we’ll host a brief CASA 101 session for anyone interested in learning more about our mission and ways to get involved. So, make sure to bring a friend.

Drop by any time after 4 PM — we’ll be around until 6(ish)!
