Male Ensemble Northwest returns to Salem!
Announcement from Male Ensemble Northwest:
Join us on Saturday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Saint Mark Lutheran Church for A Concert for Our Community, featuring 18 outstanding musicians from Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. These professional choir directors, educators, and composers will present a vibrant program that includes spirituals, international selections, traditional low-voice choral works, and contemporary pieces. This is a free, general-seating event.
We are honored to welcome guest conductor Dr. Paul Klemme, former member of Male Ensemble and the current Artistic Director of the Willamette Master Chorus and Director of Choirs at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem.
This concert’s goodwill offering will support two of the Willamette Master Chorus’s impactful outreach initiatives:
• The John Lorenz Veterans Concert Fund, making it possible for Veterans to attend the annual WMC Veterans Day Concert at no cost.
• The Keeping Choral Music Alive Program, which provides free voice lessons to youth in local schools—helping young singers grow their skills and explore future paths in vocal performance and education.
These programs have impacted hundreds of Veterans and students throughout the region. We invite you to come, be inspired, and join in community as we celebrate music, honor local heroes, and encourage the next generation of musicians. It promises to be a joyful, uplifting evening for all.
Help us reach our goal of 300 people in the seats! If we do, an anonymous donor has committed to a $1000 donation to the WMC programs!
