Salem Community Chorus, Salem, Oregon Wonderful opportunity to sing beautiful music with others! Join us for weekly rehearsals at St. Marks Lutheran Church. "American Idol").

We are a community chorus (choir) that develops inexperienced singers into experienced musicians. Our musical goals are to promote musical literacy through helping singers recognize common musical symbols (notes, clefs, time signatures,etc.) and translate these common icons into a satisfying shared musical experience. We live in a society where the solo musical experienced is dominated and glorifi

ed (i.e. At SCC, while we appreciate the soloists' role in the musical repertoire, we champion the shared group experience, and feel that EVERYONE should have the chance to sing or play in a musical ensemble!
