National Conference is just around the corner!

This past Saturday, EANGOR members gathered for our annual conference to connect, collaborate, and continue strengthening the voice of Oregon’s enlisted National Guard community.

We were proud to welcome our newly elected Oregon Air Guard Vice President, CMSgt Omar Ortiz, to the EANGOR Board. We also congratulate SGM Adrian Gonzalez on his re-election as President and SGM (Ret) Jeremy Carver on his re-election as Oregon Army Guard Vice President. We appreciate their continued leadership and dedication to serving Oregon’s enlisted Soldiers and Airmen.

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to CMSgt Brent Cavanias for his service as the Oregon Air Guard Vice President for EANGOR over the past two years. His leadership and support have helped strengthen our organization and its mission.

As we move into 2026, EANGOR remains focused on legislative priorities that directly impact our Guard members and their families, including:
• Oregon state tax-free retirement pay
• Military Family Education Program initiatives
• Tiered property tax exemption for service members
• Support for the Oregon State Retention Bonus

Along with advocacy, one of our biggest priorities for the coming year is growing EANGOR membership to ensure every enlisted Guard member has a strong voice at the state and national level.

Thank you to the Oregon National Guard Association (ORNGA) for the invitation and continued collaboration as we work together to support and advocate for Oregon’s Guard members and their families.
