Pet Peace of Mind

Pet Peace of Mind Helping hospice patients with pet care and rehoming to prevent anxiety related to their pet's future. We are driven to preserve that bond.

Pet Peace of Mind is a national program that helps care for the pets of hospice and home healthcare patients, including helping orphaned pets find a loving new home when necessary. Pet Peace of Mind provides our program partners with a turnkey solution to train local volunteers to help patients with their pet care needs and assist with foster and adoption. Pets play an important role when their hu

Urgent Update: Little Betty and Patches Need a Home by the End of June!

The Pet Peace of Mind team at Peterson Hospice (Peterson Health) in Kerrville, Texas, is asking for your help.

Unfortunately, Patches' adoption fell through because it wasn't a good fit with the family's dog. Now both cats are once again looking for loving homes.

Their owner is currently living in a nursing facility, and her greatest wish is to know her beloved cats will be safe and cared for. To make matters even more urgent, the cats' apartment lease ends at the end of June, leaving very little time to find them a new place to call home.

This is one of those moments when a little sharing can make a big difference. Please help us spread the word and give these deserving cats a chance at the loving future their owner hopes for.

❤️ Please share everywhere. You could be the reason these cats find the miracle they're waiting for.

Hospice is about caring for the whole person, including the pets they love.

When a patient at Cape Fear Valley Hospice and Palliative Care (LHC Group Inc.) needed to move into a care facility, his biggest concern wasn't for himself. It was for his beloved cat, Mr. Wilson. A cherished companion and constant source of comfort, Mr. Wilson was family.

Wanting to ensure the cat would be loved and cared for, the patient found an unexpected hero in hospice nurse Ammy, who opened her home and heart to Mr. Wilson.

Today, Mr. Wilson is thriving in his new home, surrounded by love and affection. And most importantly, his owner has the peace of mind of knowing his best friend is safe, happy, and deeply cared for.

❤️ This is what Pet Peace of Mind is all about; helping patients focus on their own care, knowing their pets have a bright future.
