Now more than ever youth need that one-on-one academic and social emotional support that a tutor and mentor can provide.

Learn about the available roles:

Study Buddies - Once a week provide after-school individual literacy tutoring with a paired “study buddy” in K-6th grade using the Reading Partners curriculum; we will provide specialized training to use Reading Partners; commitment required at a regular time at least once a week for the full school year. We ask for this commitment to provide a consistent experience for the student to improve their reading. Last year 85% of Study Buddies students achieved more than one full year’s growth in reading proficiency.

Homework Center - At least once per week, provide after-school individual and small group homework help & enrichment activity support working with students in K-8th grade; commitment required for regular times at least once a week for at least 3 months.

Youth Enrichment - On a flexible regular schedule, provide after-school support for social-emotional learning and enrichment activities with students in K-8th grade, semester commitment.

This summer, residents and staff from CommonBond's Seward Tower East and West took a trip to Duluth, Minnesota in partnership with Seward Neighborhood Group.

We are so grateful for the opportunity for young residents to form connections, gain new experiences, and have fun with one another! 💙🛥️

Our Health & Wellness programs support folks' physical and mental health that builds strength, confidence, and independence. 💪 💙 🧘‍♀️

This week, we held a National Fall Prevention Day event at CommonBond's Skyline Tower. Our Health & Wellness Manager led attendees in yoga, self-defense, light aerobics, Tai Ji Quan, and line dancing! Residents and community members enjoyed exercise, snacks, food trucks, and time spent with one another.
