While in the hospital Josephine and I saw the need for an outdoor space for the children that they could access without an employee. I saw a rooftop on the 5th floor, that was not being used, where the pediatric oncology wing is and I was able to get the support from the hospital to design a garden. Josephine and I have a dream to create this magical outdoor escape.....

t be done! It will bring joy to so many people and provide a place of respite for those going thru what sweet Josephine endured.... A place to blow bubbles, feel the elements and a place to dream! The art therapist whom saw Josephine before she died said that a child josephine's age has the fear of being forgotten. She said that it was so wonderful for Josephine to be a part of this project and to know that she was part of something with named after her and now for her! Josephine Elle Rispoli. Never forgotten!

Today, on , the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation honors the mothers who have experienced the loss of a child to a brain tumor. We see your strength, we recognize your profound grief, and we know that this loss changes your world forever.

Bereavement is complicated and doesn't have a definitive timeline, but know that you don't have to face it alone. Our peer-to-peer mentoring program can connect you with a trained bereaved mentor who understands the unique path you're walking and can offer companionship on your grief journey.
