To the person who dumped 20+ cats and kittens last night at an existing feral colony behind a grocery store:

May karma find you — because what you did was cruel, irresponsible, and completely unacceptable.

You dumped cats and kittens of various ages into an unfamiliar environment, knowing full well that they were already struggling and that they would now be left to fend for themselves. These innocent animals didn’t choose this. They didn’t ask to be born. They didn’t ask to be abandoned. And they certainly didn’t deserve to be dumped like garbage.

When confronted, the woman reportedly said she had brought them from her apartment complex because the cats were breeding out of control and shelters would not help her.

Let that sink in.

You knew they were breeding out of control — and your solution was to dump MORE cats into an existing colony where they will continue breeding, competing for food, becoming sick, being injured, being hit by cars, being attacked, and dying?

How does that make any sense?

If you were overwhelmed, there were other options. Dumping 20+ vulnerable animals into an unfamiliar location was NOT one of them.

And let’s be very clear: shelters being full or unwilling to take them does NOT give anyone the right to abandon animals and walk away.

These are living, breathing, feeling beings.

They deserve better than this.

There are simply no words to describe the anger and disgust we feel toward someone who could knowingly do something this heartless. You didn’t solve the problem. You made it exponentially worse — for these cats, for the existing colony, and for the people now left to deal with the aftermath.

A complaint has been filed with the Sheriff’s Department and Animal Control.

If you know who is responsible for this dumping, please report that information to the appropriate authorities.

And to the person who did this: You may have walked away from these cats, but the consequences of your actions don’t disappear just because you did. We have your license plate.
