As a retired chef, Charlotte has always found joy in food and serving others. Today, she gives back by volunteering at Potter’s House, one of our incredible partner agencies, helping nourish neighbors facing hunger.

Charlotte knows hunger firsthand. As a senior living on a fixed income, she sometimes relies on the same food assistance she provides to others.

She comes to give, and she comes to receive. And in a community that has grown to feel like family, Charlotte finds more than food. She finds dignity, connection, purpose and a helping hand when she needs one, too.

Thank you, Delta Dental Insurance Company! 💚

We're so grateful for Delta Dental's generous support, which will help provide 300,000 nourishing meals for children, families and seniors throughout Sacramento County.

But their partnership goes far beyond their most recent gift. Delta Dental also annually sponsors Run To Feed The Hungry, and their employees have donated over 1,400 volunteer hours with us since 2019.

Looking for fresh produce for the week? We've got you covered! 🥬🍎

Today, we made a whole lot of fruits and vegetables available to our partner agencies, who'll get them into the hands of our neighbors across Sacramento County.

From our warehouse to our partner agencies to our community, these melons, cabbage, potatoes, apples and more will help keep our neighbors nourished!

It may not feel like ramen weather just yet, but we’re ready! 🍜

We’ve added a new item to our warehouse, made possible through our CalFood grant. We’re excited to start including ramen cups in our next No Student Left Hungry boxes, which provide kid-friendly food items to students in school districts across Sacramento County.

Our partner agencies will also be able to order these ramen cups, helping bring a quick and convenient meal option to our neighbors.

A double on the field can make a difference off the field, too.

A heartfelt thank you to Crystal Creamery and the Sacramento River Cats for turning every double hit during home games this season into an opportunity to give back to our community. Through their Doubles Donations campaign, Crystal Creamery presented us with an incredible $11,500 gift, enough to provide 34,500 meals for our neighbors facing hunger.

A huge thank you to Pacific Gas and Electric Company for a generous gift through their Community Resiliency Fund that'll provide 60,000 meals for children, families and seniors in need across Sacramento County!

This support will allow us to purchase nutritious food and keep our shelves stocked for Sacramento families facing hunger.
