Donations to the Elk Grove Food Bank are not required but are greatly appreciated and needed. The Food Bank serves more than 9,200 individuals and families each month and the need continues to increase. In addition to non-perishable food items, frozen turkeys and chickens along with other holiday food items are needed for seniors and families this holiday season.

Run To Feed The Hungry Goes Virtual

Join us in a VIRTUAL RUN for the 16th annual Elk Grove Run 4 Hunger benefiting the Elk Grove Food Bank!

The 16th annual Run 4 Hunger is now a virtual run! During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Elk Grove Food Bank has seen a 464% increase in new clients — and counting. More of Elk Grove’s residents are facing food insecurity due to business and school closures and job disruptions caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Join us in our mission to provide essential resources to overcome the many faces of hunger and human need.

Looking for a fun way to spend Friday night? What about a virtual cooking lesson?

The Cook In
With cookouts around the world on hold until further notice, you are officially invited to “The Cook In.” The Cook In is an interactive, virtual cooking experience presented by the Last Supper Society. Each week, Chef Byron Hughes and a special guest cook a gourmet meal while the audience plays chef from their own kitchens by following along step-by-step with pre-packaged ingredients.
This week's special guest for Friday, 5/22, is former MLB All-Star and Elk Grove resident, Greg Vaughn.
How it Works
1. Last Supper Society preps and packages the ingredients (Supper Kits)
2. Customers purchase and pick up Supper Kits (w/ step by step cooking instructions)
3. Audience tunes in on Instagram live and cooks with us!
For a Good Cause
Each week, Last Supper Society partners with a new charitable organization to donate 10% of the proceeds as well as meals to feed the people they serve. The beneficiary this week is the Elk Grove Food Bank. Individuals can also purchase "Pay It Forward" meals that go directly to people in need through the Elk Grove Food Bank.
To cook with us or donate a meal, text "COOK IN" to 916.249.3192 but act fast because orders close on Wednesday, 5/20, at 9 pm.
• Dinner for 1 - $18
• Dinner for 2 - $30
• Pay It Forward - $25 provides a gourmet meal for 2 people in need.
