👋 We’re back on Facebook!

It’s been a while since we’ve posted here, but Midtown HART has been very busy in the meantime.

Every week, our volunteers operate four Respite Centers in Midtown Sacramento, welcoming hundreds of our unhoused neighbors and providing food, clothing, hygiene supplies, showers, restrooms, phone charging, connections to services, and—just as importantly—a welcoming place to be.

We’re excited to have our page back and to start sharing more of what’s happening at Midtown HART: updates from our Respite Centers, volunteer opportunities, community partnerships, ways to help, and stories from the people who make this work possible.

The Friday Respite Center was rather quiet today. Last night we received word that one of our regular guests has passed. Eugene was full of life and had a constant smile. He will be missed by the other guests and volunteers. ♥️

The City of Sacramento has extended weather-respite operations at both its Outreach and Engagement Center and the North Fifth Street Shelter through Dec. 8, as the region faces a continued period of rain and cold temperatures.
