Friendship Community Care Adult Deveolpment Day Treatment and Employment Program

STAR Industries Russellville is Friendship Community Care's first and largest adult development day treatment program, providing services to individuals 18 years of age and older who have a diagnosis of a developmental or intellectual disability. STAR offers a variety of services that encourage personal growth and adult development, such as vocational services and a structured curriculum, along with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and behavioral health.

What a wonderful way to wrap up STAR Spirit Week!

A huge THANK YOU to the Arkansas Tech Softball Team who joined us as door greeters and helped start our day with smiles, encouragement, and team spirit! We loved having you here, and we appreciate you taking the time to make our day extra special.

Throughout Spirit Week, our consumers also participated in a drawing contest, combining the STAR Industries logo with the ATU logo! The softball team voted for their favorite designs, making the experience even more exciting and meaningful for everyone involved!

Thank you for showing our consumers so much kindness, supporting their creativity, and being part of such a memorable week at STAR Industries. We are so grateful for our community and the wonderful people who take the time to make our days brighter!

We’re having so much fun during Spirit Week at Star!

Day 3: Wacky Day
Day 4: Camouflage Day

What makes Spirit Week special is our consumers having a voice in the fun! They’ve helped choose our dress-up days, shared ideas for activities they’d like to do, and brought their own creativity and excitement to each day.

We also love seeing staff who jump in, dress up, participate, and encourage our consumers to bring those ideas to life! It is in those moments of connection, laughter, and everyone getting involved that make the week so memorable.

Our guys love getting to start their day by seeing these wonderful athletes and being greeted with so many smiles! Thank you for taking the time to stop by Star for spirit week and making our guys feel special as they arrive in the morning. These small acts of kindness make a BIG difference, and we are so grateful for the positivity and encouragement you brought to our day!
