💜 Another special visit with longtime friends of APUFRAM!

As the trip continues, we are grateful to share a few moments with our wonderful friends and volunteers from the Green Bay, Wisconsin area. 🇺🇸🇭🇳

This group has built a special relationship with APUFRAM over the years, traveling to Honduras annually to volunteer, serve, and spend time with the children and communities we support. Their continued commitment is a beautiful reminder that the APUFRAM family extends far beyond borders.

Among them is Karean VanEss Wagner, a valued member of the APUFRAM International Board of Directors, whose dedication to our mission continues year after year. We are also grateful for Mark Stano , a prospective board member, and his growing involvement and commitment to the work of APUFRAM International.

To KareAn, Mark, and all of our Green Bay friends: thank you for your friendship, your generosity, and for continuing to walk alongside APUFRAM year after year. 💜

We are excited to continue sharing more moments and updates from the trip!

Father Emil’s journey continues — and so does the beautiful reminder that APUFRAM’s mission has always been built on relationships. ❤️

Over the past several days, Father Emil has traveled across Minnesota, reconnecting with longtime friends, supporters, and families who have walked alongside him and APUFRAM for many years.

From Alden to Kasson and St. Paul, each visit has been an opportunity to share memories, renew friendships, and talk about the work that continues today for children and families in Honduras and the Dominican Republic.

These photos capture something that miles on an itinerary cannot: the friendships and generosity that have sustained this mission across generations and across borders.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has opened their homes, shared a meal, gathered with Father Emil, and continued to believe in APUFRAM’s work.

Next stop: Wisconsin! 🇺🇸➡️🇭🇳

An update from Father Emil’s 2026 journey!

Over the course of this trip, Father Emil will travel approximately 6,500 miles, making 27 stops in 25 communities across 10 states as he reconnects with friends, supporters, and members of the APUFRAM family.

One of his recent stops was Kansas City, Kansas, where he was hosted by APUFRAM alumnus Denys Asebedo. Denys was once a student in Honduras, and today he continues giving back to APUFRAM — as he has done every time Father Emil visits.

It is always special to see the circle come full circle: those who were once supported by APUFRAM are now helping sustain its mission for the next generation.

Pray for Father as he embarks on this trip to fundraise for Apufram in Honduras and the Dominican Republic.

Thank you to everyone who is hosting Father Emil as well.

Today, we proudly celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Hogar de Señoritas Santa Ana—a place that has provided generations of young women with a safe home, educational opportunities, hope, and the support they need to pursue their dreams.

This milestone is a testament to the unwavering dedication of our Sisters, staff, volunteers, donors, alumni, and everyone who has believed in our mission over the past three decades. Your generosity and commitment have made it possible for countless young women to grow into confident leaders who are making a difference in their families and communities.

As we celebrate this incredible achievement, we also look ahead with renewed purpose. Together, we will continue investing in education, empowering young women, and transforming lives for many years to come.

With hearts full of gratitude, we want to recognize the incredible generosity of our APUFRAM International volunteers, Nick and Karean Van Ess Wagner.

Thanks to their generous $10,000 donation, we were able to purchase 21 Dell laptops and a printer to equip the computer lab at Instituto San Antonio de Padua. This investment will provide our children and youth with greater access to technology, strengthen their education, and open new opportunities for their future.

Karean VanEss Wagner and Nick have faithfully supported APUFRAM’s mission for many years, giving not only financially but also through their time, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the children and families we serve.
