Father Emilio’s Birthday Celebration in Honduras! Happy Birthday Father Emil Cook!!

09/13/2026

Early this week, Father Emilio continued his U.S. journey with a special visit to the Memphis area, where he was welcomed in Bartlett, Tennessee, by Delmer Adalix Donaire and Sarah Donaire, Delmer is a former APUFRAM alumnus.

The day began with Mass at the Church of the Nativity in Bartlett, followed by an opportunity to visit with parishioners and the parish priest. Later that afternoon, Father Emilio spent time with coworkers of Delmer’s brother, Darwin, who generously made a contribution in support of APUFRAM’s mission.

It is always meaningful to see former APUFRAM students continuing to stay connected to the organization and helping welcome Father Emilio during his travels.

We are also grateful that Father Emilio continues the journey in good health and good spirits. 🙏 The following morning, the group departed Tennessee for Arkansas to continue the next leg of the trip.

A special thank you to Delmer and his family for opening their home to Father Emilio, and to everyone in the Bartlett and Memphis area who welcomed him with such kindness and generosity.

¡Muchas gracias y que siga el buen viaje! 🇭🇳❤️🇺🇸

🇺🇸 Cincinnati, Ohio — The Final Stretch

Father Emilio’s journey across the United States continues, with another meaningful stop in Cincinnati, Ohio!

As his fundraising and outreach trip begins to enter its final stretch, Father Emilio continues reconnecting with friends, supporters, and members of the APUFRAM family who have welcomed him along the way. These visits are about much more than miles traveled — they are an opportunity to strengthen relationships, share the work being done in Honduras, and thank those who continue to believe in APUFRAM’s mission.

From Cincinnati, Father Emilio will soon begin making his way toward Memphis, Tennessee, with approximately one week remaining in his U.S. trip.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has opened their homes, shared a meal, spent time with Father Emilio, contributed to the mission, or simply offered their friendship and encouragement throughout this journey. ❤️🇭🇳🇺🇸

Next stop: Memphis! 🚗

Another stop on Father Emilio’s fundraising trip! 🇭🇳🇺🇸

Today, Father Emilio spent time with Scott Micklewright, his family, and friends, including a visit to The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.

We are grateful to Scott, his family, and friends for welcoming Father Emilio and for their friendship and support of APUFRAM’s mission. These stops are an important part of the journey — reconnecting with supporters, sharing updates from Honduras, and continuing to strengthen the relationships that make APUFRAM’s work possible.

And there was even a little time to enjoy some automotive history along the way! 🚗

Thank you to Scott, his family, and friends, and safe travels to Father Emilio as the journey continues! 🙏💙

Another special stop for Father — this time in Waukegan! 💜🇭🇳

A heartfelt thank you to Araceli Panchi and Rigo Panchi for once again welcoming and hosting Father during his time in the Chicago area. Ara and Rigo have been opening their doors to Father during his visits since 2019, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued friendship and support of APUFRAM.

Waukegan also holds a special place in APUFRAM’s history. Members of our Chicago-area community traveled to Honduras for mission trips in 2017 and 2018, building relationships and memories that continue to bring us together today.

And looking ahead, we are hopeful that we can bring the APUFRAM - Chicago group back to Honduras in the summer of 2027 — ten years after our first mission trip in 2017. What a wonderful way that would be to celebrate a decade of friendship, service, and commitment to APUFRAM. 🇭🇳❤️🇺🇸

Thank you, Ara and Rigo, for continuing to be part of this journey and for taking such good care of Father during his Waukegan stop!

💜 Another special visit with longtime friends of APUFRAM!

As the trip continues, we are grateful to share a few moments with our wonderful friends and volunteers from the Green Bay, Wisconsin area. 🇺🇸🇭🇳

This group has built a special relationship with APUFRAM over the years, traveling to Honduras annually to volunteer, serve, and spend time with the children and communities we support. Their continued commitment is a beautiful reminder that the APUFRAM family extends far beyond borders.

Among them is Karean VanEss Wagner, a valued member of the APUFRAM International Board of Directors, whose dedication to our mission continues year after year. We are also grateful for Mark Stano , a prospective board member, and his growing involvement and commitment to the work of APUFRAM International.

To KareAn, Mark, and all of our Green Bay friends: thank you for your friendship, your generosity, and for continuing to walk alongside APUFRAM year after year. 💜

We are excited to continue sharing more moments and updates from the trip!

Next up: Waukegan, Illinois APUFRAM - Chicago
