Hispanic and Latino communities represent diverse cultures, experiences, and perspectives. During National Hispanic Heritage Month, the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) is highlighting one important way healthcare professionals can help make diabetes care more accessible: connecting Spanish speakers to trusted information in Spanish.

The ADA has a Spanish-language website and patient education resources designed to help people prevent or manage diabetes. 🙏

Advance care planning is something that every adult should consider, regardless of age or current health status. Yet, these important conversations are often postponed until a medical crisis occurs. 👍

Our goal is to help individuals and families understand their options, communicate their wishes, and make informed decisions before those decisions become urgent.

This presentation is especially timely as we approach the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, when families gather together. These occasions provide a meaningful opportunity to begin conversations about healthcare preferences, personal values, and end-of-life wishes with those we love.
