My beautiful beloved baby, Briana, my gorgeous “B,”
You are a gift sent from heaven, entrusted to me.
Your silly ways filled our life with delight,
Turning our darkest days into light.

Fierce on the field, so focused and bold,
Competitive spirit, a heart made of gold.
You loved your family with all of your might,
And walked with strong faith in God’s holy light.

My heart still aches, tears glow as I yearn,
Longing for moments that never return.
A mother’s love, more powerful than pain,
Stronger than loss, it will always remain.

My baby girl, just 17 years old,
A lifetime of joy through laughter and tears.
Held now in heaven, yet close to me—
Forever my daughter, my Briana, my “B.”

This date is forever etched into my soul—the day my daughter, Briana Marie Cox, left my arms and entered the heavenly realm.

Briana ~ Her name is music to my ears. She lived. She loved. She mattered—and still does.

Briana was pure light—loving, radiant, irreplaceable. And though her life was far too short, her legacy lives on.

Through the Briana Marie Cox Foundation, we honor her memory by helping others in their darkest hour. We chose to let love lead. Out of pain, we chose purpose.

Briana will always and forever be my beautiful, beloved baby girl.

At this year’s event, our 8U players had a special opportunity to hear from two women who knew and loved Briana deeply.Barbara, Briana’s mom and the President of the Briana Marie Cox Foundation, shared the story of Briana’s passing — a story no parent ever wants to tell, but one she shares so that Briana’s light continues to shine through the work we do.Then, Briana’s childhood friend Kimmy spoke about the power of friendship — Kimmy and the entire Caron family are dedicated to preserving Briana’s life and legacy and help carry Briana’s memory forward with purpose.

It was an honor to be invited to Palm Beach Central’s first home game of the year. This is a special moment—not just for the players and coaches, but for the entire community.

Tonight, we celebrate more than just the start of a new season. We’re also witnessing an exciting step forward for this program. With the addition of lights, these young athletes now have the opportunity to compete under the bright glow of night games, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Palm Beach Central has shown a strong commitment to improving its facilities, ensuring these players have the best possible environment to grow, compete, and succeed. And this is just the beginning—there are even bigger plans ahead to continue enhancing these fields. We are proud to be apart of their continued growth and proud to see Briana’s name and legacy honored on the field.

It’s inspiring to see a school and a community invest in the future of its athletes. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this special night. Now, let’s play ball!”

I think of the things you used to do,
The way your laughter filled a room.
Your passion for God, for family, for play,
Briana, my love for you still guides my way.

The day God called you, my heart was shattered and torn,
Left in a world so cold, so worn.
I cried and I cried, your name I screamed,
Wailing, pleading—it felt like a dream.

Moaning, yearning, lost in despair,
Longing to hold you, to stroke your beautiful long hair.
For a mother’s love knows no goodbye,
It stretches beyond the earth and sky.

But God has promised, and I believe,
One day again, you I’ll see.
So I will share His love, His hope and His grace,
For even in sorrow, He gives me a mission.

Through trials, through tears, His goodness remains,
His mercy restores, His love sustains.
