We're a community-focused makerspace that offers a space to learn, meet cool people, and do cool things with the tools we have to offer!

One of our awesome makers, Mario, made this sign for a couple of Braves fans, as a thank you for giving him tickets to some of the games and other events!

Made with padauk, red oak and yes, sande plywood from HD (to keep costs down). He used a variety of techniques such as segmented ring, cnc, multi step finishing, made his own stain with mixol and more. Using this method, he can recreate similar signage much more easily!

One of our members Ricardo Pavon is supporting an upcoming parade with floats for Roswell North elementary school. They’ve taken to our wood-shop to create a giant model spaceship… we can only imagine what comes next🚀✨

Shout out to Forrest Blades for sending us this awesome table saw blade! We loved giving it a try and can say with 100% confidence that this tool is smooth, well-built, powerful & easy on makers! We’d definitely recommend this to shops who frequently cut with the table saw!

This was a project make with shaky hands and a lot of love! Our community at the firelabs is so generous with their time, patient and reassuring. It would’ve been so much more difficult without the guys in the shop helping me through each step! Lexi’s reaction (& the photos) were 100% worth the anxiety😅

One of our Makers, Tom Zach, I made these pictures of he and his wife a gift for their upcoming anniversary. They are made of Lego, with the acrylic frames and backing custom cut on the laser!

The metal fabrication is two day workshop with Gabi Madrid that will walk you through the process of building a metal project from start to finish. In this workshop you’ll be building a metal flower from mild steel. You’ll begin by cutting out your flower pieces with the plasma cutter, cleaning up the pieces with the angle grinder and bench grinder. You’ll learn how to shape and form metal with the bender, vice, and other tools. All the pieces will be assembled together with the MIG welder and heated with a propane torch to give it an organic look. You will learn how to finish your metal to make it look like brass and give it a protective coating with paste wax. This workshop is only $225 for non-members of Roswell Firelabs and $200 for current members. You can sign up on our website at roswellfirelabs.org under events page.

TIG welding is the perfect solution for precision welding tasks. It’s great for materials like stainless steel and aluminum due to its clean finish and control. Typical applications include aerospace, automotive, and art, where strength and aesthetics matter. The process is an all-around great solution for most welding projects, as it can bind nearly all metals, but is especially helpful for delicate projects & decorative pieces!
