Today is the 21st Annual LGBTQ Families Day, a time to celebrate the many families with LGBTQ people in them! This event aims to raise awareness of the diversity, joys, and challenges of all LGBTQ families—found, formed, and chosen—and to show their strength, elevate their collective stories, and reaffirm allies’ support.

To our LGBTQ families: we see you, support you, and are PFLAG proud of you today and every day. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

PFLAG National is a proud sponsor of Mombian's LGBTQ Families Day.

Another proud “mom” moment - this video is one of our former board members, Brian Lee Poteat, speaking at a UU service earlier today in Pensacola. We could not think of a better video to share as we start Pride Month. When Lee and his husband, Jimmy, left Rome, Pensacola was just starting their PFLAG chapter and needed a strong leader. To say they got one of the best is an under statement. Help us congratulate PFLAG Pensacola and cheer them on from afar, when their roots came from right here in Rome, Georgia!

📢 CALLING ALL MINORITY-OWNED BUSINESSES IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA 📢

The NWGA Minority Business Association is proud to officially launch the MBA First 100 Campaign — a powerful movement to spotlight and celebrate 100 Minority-Owned Businesses across Northwest Georgia by December 31, 2026.

We believe our businesses deserve to be seen, supported, and recognized for the impact they make in our communities every single day. 💼✨

Here’s what being part of the campaign looks like:

🎥 We visit your business and record a short on-site interview
🎤 Simple, authentic, and impactful questions about your journey
📸 Behind-the-scenes content of you working and building your business
👕 An exclusive “MBA First 100” commemorative t-shirt
📲 Professionally edited content posted on our platforms and tagged for easy sharing

This is more than promotion — it’s recognition, representation, and community impact.

👇 TAG a Minority-Owned Business in one of these Northwest Georgia counties that deserves to be highlighted:

• Bartow
• Catoosa
• Chattooga
• Dade
• Fannin
• Floyd
• Gilmer
• Gordon
• Haralson
• Murray
• Paulding
• Pickens
• Polk
• Walker
• Whitfield

Let’s show the world the excellence that exists right here in Northwest Georgia. 🔥
