As followers of Christ, it's very important that we model servant leadership.

Leadership is not about power, but about posture. That the greatest among us is often the one willing to do what others overlook.

Nathanael Greene is not one of the most famous founding fathers. But he was George Washington’s most dependable officer—steadfast in the shadows, resilient in failure, faithful in responsibility, and trusted when the stakes were highest.

And when the moment came, that trust mattered.

Because the call does not always go to the loudest voice or the most impressive résumé. It often goes to the one who has proven, over time, that he can be trusted to serve.

In Trail Life, boys are given opportunities to carry responsibility early. They’re asked to lead, serve, and support one another in the small, daily tasks that build character.

May we raise sons who understand that the first shall be last and the last shall be first. Let’s raise sons of legacy that are more committed to a righteous cause than to personal comfort or glory.

No shortcuts. No comfort zones. And little applause from the world.
Duties Include:
• Guiding young men through uncharted territory (like setting up a tent without instructions).
• Surviving rugged expeditions (15-mile treks… with questionable freeze-dried dinners).
• Enduring epic battles (mostly against the elements).
• Building brotherhood around the fire (and perfecting campfire coffee).
Come join the adventure… if you dare.
Being a Trail Life volunteer ain’t easy…but it just might be one of the most meaningful things you ever do.
