Rockwall Paws Rockwall PAWS mission is to make sure every heartworm positive dog adopted from the Rockwall Animal Adoption Center is treated for Heartworm disease.

Rockwall PAWS is committed to raising awareness regarding heartworm positive dogs at the Rockwall Adoption Center. Rockwall PAWS provides financial assistance to off-set the expensive heartworm treatment for adoptable dogs that may otherwise, be overlooked. Heartworms are a HUGE problem in Texas. Dogs often contract the infestation through the bite of infected mosquito. The invasion is difficult to detect, since the dog will often exhibit no symptoms until it's has progressed. Rockwall PAWS is making sure you're best friend is safe and people are educated on how to protect your furry family member from heartworm disease.

❤️🐾With Heartfelt Thanks to Our PAWS Supporters❤️🐾

North Texas Giving Day has come to a close, and we are so grateful for the kindness shown to Rockwall PAWS.

The final numbers are still being counted, but so far, just under $2,000 has been raised to help animals who need a little extra care before they can move on to the homes waiting for them.

Your generosity helps provide important veterinary treatment, medications, heartworm care, procedures, and other medical support for pets who may need help getting healthy and ready for their next chapter.

For some animals, that care may be simple. For others, it can be the difference between continuing to wait and finally being ready for adoption.

That is why every donation matters.

To everyone who gave, shared our message, or told a friend about the work of Rockwall PAWS, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Your support helps make sure that when an animal needs medical care before finding a home, there is help available.

We are honored by your trust, your generosity, and your continued compassion for these deserving animals.

Just under $2,000 raised and still counting. ❤️🐾

From all of us at Rockwall PAWS, thank you for helping give them the care they need and the chance they deserve.

🚨 LAST CALL FOR NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY 💙🐾

There are only a few hours left to make your North Texas Giving Day gift, and Rockwall PAWS needs your help before the clock strikes midnight.

Throughout today, we have shared the faces behind the mission. Dogs battling heartworm disease. Animals arriving injured and needing X rays, medications, surgery, and lifesaving medical care. Pets like Remi, Athena, Dorian, Buddy, Jett, Rowan, and Torrente who were given a chance because help was available when they needed it.

The next animal is already out there.

Another heartworm positive dog will arrive at the Rockwall Adoption Center. Another injured pet will need medical treatment. Another animal will need someone to say, “Yes, we can help.”

Your donation tonight helps make that answer possible.

Rockwall PAWS relies on donations to help provide heartworm treatment and critical medical care for animals in need in our Rockwall community. Every gift, whether $10, $20, $100, or more, helps build the resources needed to act when an animal needs us most.

This is our final push. North Texas Giving Day ends at 11:59 PM TONIGHT.

If you have been thinking about giving, now is the time.

🐾 TODAY IS NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY, AND TORRENTE IS PROOF THAT YOUR GIFT CAN CHANGE A LIFE 💙

When Torrente arrived at the Rockwall Adoption Center, this young kitten was injured, hurting, and in need of medical care.

He had an abscess on his back leg that required treatment, veterinary evaluation, and X rays to determine what was happening and give him the care he needed. Through it all, Torrente remained the sweetest little boy.

With treatment, time, and people willing to invest in his recovery, Torrente healed and went on to find his forever home. ❤️

His story is an important reminder that the work of Rockwall PAWS goes beyond heartworm treatment. When shelter animals face unexpected injuries or significant medical needs, donor support can help provide the diagnostics, medications, procedures, and care necessary to give them a fighting chance.

Your donation today can help with needs such as:

💙 $20 toward medications and supportive care
💙 $100 toward veterinary treatment and medical expenses
💙 $300 toward diagnostic X rays
💙 Larger gifts can help fund major medical procedures when an animal urgently needs them

Torrente no longer needs our help. The next injured kitten does.

And when that animal arrives, we want funding already available so the question is not “Can we afford to help?” but simply “What does this animal need?”

🐾 TODAY IS NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY, AND JETT IS WHY YOUR GIFT MATTERS 💙

For 152 days, Jett has been waiting at the Rockwall Adoption Center for someone to give him a chance.

Jett can be shy and unsure at first, but once he feels safe, his gentle and affectionate personality shines. He loves quiet time with his people, enjoys cuddling, and forms deep bonds with those he trusts.

Then Jett tested heartworm positive.

For a dog who has already spent months waiting for a home, an expensive medical diagnosis can become one more barrier to adoption. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, Jett’s heartworm treatment is sponsored so his future family does not have to shoulder that financial burden alone.

That is what your donation today makes possible.

💙 $20 can help provide supportive medications
💙 $50 can help toward heartworm related care
💙 $100 can help offset the cost of lifesaving heartworm treatment

Every donation helps Rockwall PAWS be ready for the next Jett who arrives heartworm positive and needs medical care before moving forward toward the life he deserves.

Jett has already waited 152 days. Your gift today helps make sure his heartworm diagnosis does not stand between him and a second chance.

🐾 TODAY IS NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY, AND BUDDY IS PROOF OF WHAT A SECOND CHANCE CAN BECOME 💙

Buddy had already been through more than most dogs should ever have to face.

At just 1 year old, a severe injury resulted in the amputation of his front leg. He recovered, adapted to life on three legs, and never lost his playful, adventurous spirit. Then Buddy faced another challenge.

He tested heartworm positive.

After spending 94 days at the Rockwall Adoption Center, Buddy needed someone to see beyond everything he had been through and give him the future he deserved. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, his heartworm treatment was sponsored, removing another obstacle between Buddy and a forever family.

Today, Buddy has found his forever home. ❤️

But another Buddy will come through the shelter doors.

Another dog will test heartworm positive. Another family may hesitate because of the cost of treatment. That is why your donation today matters.

Rockwall PAWS helps provide financial assistance for heartworm positive dogs at the Rockwall Adoption Center so they can receive treatment, become healthier, and have a better opportunity to be adopted.

Since 2010, more than 400 dogs have been helped through heartworm treatment.

💙 $20 can help with supportive medications
💙 $75 can help cover ProHeart 12
💙 $100 can help offset the cost of lifesaving heartworm treatment
💙 Larger gifts can help fund treatment for an entire heartworm positive dog

Your gift today helps make sure a heartworm diagnosis does not become the end of a dog’s story.

🐾 TODAY IS NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY, AND DORIAN IS WHY YOUR GIFT MATTERS 💙

Dorian came to the Rockwall Adoption Center as a stray. No one came back for him.

For 92 days, this calm, gentle 4 year old waited for someone to choose him. Then came another obstacle. Dorian tested heartworm positive.

For many shelter dogs, the cost of treatment can make adoption even harder. But thanks to Rockwall PAWS, Dorian’s heartworm treatment was sponsored, allowing his future family to focus on loving him instead of worrying about the cost of getting him healthy.

And now, after months of waiting, Dorian has found his forever home. ❤️

That is what your donation today can make possible for the next dog.

Rockwall PAWS helps fund heartworm treatment for positive dogs at the Rockwall Adoption Center, helping cover costly treatment, medications, and veterinary care so a heartworm diagnosis does not have to stand between a dog and a second chance.

🐾 TODAY IS NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY, AND ATHENA IS PROOF THAT YOUR GIFT CAN CHANGE A LIFE 💙

Athena came to the Rockwall Adoption Center as a stray. No one came back for her.

She spent 181 days in shelter care, waiting for someone to see past her shy first impression and recognize the gentle, affectionate dog underneath. Then came another hurdle.

Athena tested heartworm positive.

Heartworm treatment is expensive, and for shelter dogs, that diagnosis can make an already difficult road to adoption even harder. But because of Rockwall PAWS, Athena’s treatment was sponsored so the cost would not stand between her and the family she deserved.

And today, Athena has found her forever home. ❤️

This is exactly what your donation makes possible.

Rockwall PAWS helps fund heartworm treatment for positive dogs at the Rockwall Adoption Center, including the costly treatment injections and other necessary veterinary care. Since 2010, Rockwall PAWS has helped more than 400 heartworm positive dogs receive treatment and become adoptable.

Before Rockwall PAWS, heartworm positive dogs at the shelter faced a very different outcome.

Your gift today helps make sure dogs like Athena have a future.

💙 $20 can help with supportive medications
💙 $75 can help cover ProHeart 12
💙 $100 can help offset the cost of lifesaving heartworm treatment
💙 Larger gifts can help fund treatment for an entire heartworm positive dog

When the next Athena arrives, we want to be ready to say yes, we can help.

🐾 TODAY IS NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY, AND YOUR GIFT CAN HELP SAVE THE NEXT REMI 💙

Remi came to the Rockwall Adoption Center at 7 years old, sweet, loving, and heartworm positive. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, her treatment was fully sponsored, removing a major barrier to adoption.

Today, Remi is in her forever home. ❤️

That is the impact of your donation.

Rockwall PAWS helps cover the cost of heartworm treatment for adoptable dogs, including lab work, chest X rays, hospitalization, Immiticide injections, and medications. Since 2010, more than 400 dogs have been helped through heartworm treatment and given the chance to become adoptable.

🐾 TODAY IS NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY 💙

Sometimes one life tells the whole story of why your support matters.

When Rowan arrived at the Rockwall Adoption Center, he was just a tiny kitten with an injured back leg. X rays revealed fractures to both his tibia and fibula. He needed veterinary care, strict crate rest, and time to heal.

Because support was available when he needed it, Rowan got that chance.

Rockwall PAWS helped make the care possible that saved Rowan’s leg. He healed, recovered, and went on to find a loving family.

That is the impact of your donation today.

Your gift to Rockwall PAWS helps provide critical medical care for animals in our community, including heartworm treatment, lab work, X rays, medications, hospitalization, and other necessary veterinary expenses.

For years, Rockwall PAWS has helped give animals at the Rockwall Adoption Center a second chance. Before the organization began its work in 2010, heartworm positive shelter dogs were euthanized. Since then, more than 400 dogs have been helped through heartworm treatment and given the opportunity to become adoptable.

Rowan’s story is a reminder that when an animal arrives injured, sick, or in need of treatment, having funding available can change everything.

Today, you can help make sure the next Rowan gets that same chance.

North Texas Giving Day ends tonight at 11:59 PM.

🐾 TODAY IS NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY 💙

Today is more than a fundraiser. It is an opportunity to help save the lives of animals in need throughout the Rockwall community.

When an animal comes to us sick, injured, heartworm positive, or in need of veterinary care, the ability to help often depends on having the resources available at that very moment. Your donation to Rockwall PAWS helps make that care possible.

Your gift today can help provide

💉 $20 toward a distemper and parvo vaccine
💊 $50 toward antibiotics or antifungal medication
❤️ $100 toward a ProHeart injection for a heartworm positive dog
🩻 $200 toward the cost of an X ray

Every donation, no matter the amount, helps ensure that animals in our community have access to the medical care they need and the second chance they deserve.

This is what your generosity makes possible. Lives saved. Pain relieved. Treatment provided. More animals given the opportunity to heal and find loving homes.

North Texas Giving Day ends at 11:59 PM tonight. If you have been waiting for the right moment to give, today is the day.
