Congratulations to our Past President, John Adams, on being recognized for his 4th Paul Harris Fellow!

The Paul Harris Fellow is among Rotary’s highest honors, named for founder Paul Harris. It recognizes Rotarians and community members who exemplify Rotary’s mission through service and charitable giving. Each additional $1,000 contributed to The Rotary Foundation earns a new Paul Harris Fellow level. The Foundation supports global projects in education, clean water, disease prevention, peacebuilding, and economic development.

John’s dedication to service within our club and the Rockwall community embodies the spirit of Rotary. His commitment to the Stars and Stripes Flag Program, community initiatives, and supporting others has made a lasting impact. Congratulations, John, on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for your continued service above self.

This week, we were honored to welcome Maliyah Hudson to our Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club meeting as she shared her experience at Camp RYLA.

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is designed to help young leaders build confidence, strengthen communication skills, develop teamwork, and form lasting friendships. Maliyah gave us a firsthand look at how the program impacted her and the lessons she will carry forward.

We are proud to have sponsored four outstanding students to attend Camp RYLA this year: Maliyah Hudson, Jacob Chapa, Jaxson Lapp, and Sierra Fathke. Investing in young leaders is one of the most meaningful ways Rotary serves our community, and we look forward to seeing what these students accomplish in the future.

With the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Stars and Stripes Flag Program, our volunteers place a flag at your home on eight patriotic holidays each year and return to retrieve it afterward. All for just $50 per year.

This week, we were happy to welcome our 2026 Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club scholarship recipients, Jackson Cornehl and Peyton Hilborn, to our weekly meeting.

Jackson and Peyton told us about their future plans, shared their academic and personal achievements, and gave us a look at what’s next as they get ready to start college this fall.

Investing in the next generation of leaders is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. We are proud to support these outstanding students and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the years ahead.

Please join us in congratulating Jackson Cornehl and Peyton Hilborn on this well-deserved achievement. We wish them continued success as they begin this exciting new chapter!

Behind the scenes of a beautiful Rockwall tradition.

While most of us were still asleep, volunteers from the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Flag Program were busy maintaining the American flags placed around our community. Each yard, each flag, is a reminder of how fortunate we are to call this country home.

Driving through our neighborhoods and seeing Old Glory waving is always a special sight.

You can have a flag placed in your yard for seven patriotic holidays each year for just $50.

The Foundation’s Memorial Brick Campaign officially launched on May 23, 2026.

The Foundation is dedicated to promoting the recognition, preservation, and maintenance of the Rockwall County Veterans Memorial at the Rockwall County Courthouse while serving as an advocate within the community.

The Rockwall County, TX - Commissioners Court has partnered with the Foundation in support of this inaugural Memorial Brick Campaign.

Memorial Park Cemetery has played a key role in Rockwall’s history. We believe everyone buried there should be remembered with dignity and respect.

As part of our long-term plans for Memorial Park Cemetery (Gardenhire), the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club has asked Frank Locke to carry out a ground-penetrating radar (GPR) survey of the property. This will help us find any unmarked graves in the cemetery.

Our goal is straightforward: to preserve the cemetery’s history, learn more about those buried there, and protect these special places for future generations. This project is part of our ongoing effort to honor the past and plan carefully for Memorial Park Cemetery’s future.
