A big thank you to our fellow Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club members, Tommy White and Joseph Slovak, for their presentation this morning and for the time and hard work they continue to put into the Memorial/Gardenhire Cemetery project.

This historic cemetery is the final resting place of African American veterans from World War I and World War II, along with other members of Rockwall’s early community. Our club has spent years helping research, preserve, and bring recognition to this important part of Rockwall’s history.

Tommy and Joseph continue to lead efforts to improve the Memorial/Gardenhire Cemetery and honor those laid to rest there. We appreciate their commitment to seeing this project through and helping preserve this historic site for future generations.

A big thank you to the local FFA students who joined the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club this morning!

These students gave a great presentation on Corporate & Private Equity Veterinarians vs. Independent Veterinary Practices, sharing their research and perspectives on how changes in veterinary ownership can affect veterinarians, pet owners, and local communities.

We appreciate these young leaders taking the time to speak with our club and answer our questions. It’s always great to see students developing their knowledge, communication skills, and confidence through FFA.

Thank you for spending your morning with us!

Thank you to Jerry Welch for joining the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club this morning and giving us an update on the Rockwall County housing market.

Jerry shared the latest numbers on home sales, pricing, inventory, and market trends across Rockwall County, including Rockwall, Heath, Fate, McLendon-Chisholm, and Royse City. We appreciate Jerry taking the time to help our members better understand what’s happening in our local real estate market and what the numbers mean for our growing community.

Thanks to Nick Layman from Many Branches Consulting for joining us this morning at the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club!

The talk entitled "Working With AI Without Betting Your Reputation" was concerned with the way in which businesses and professionals can use AI without risking their credibility.

AI may be a powerful tool, but it is important to know its limitations. We are grateful to Nick for providing some practical advice that our members can apply in their businesses and organizations.

Thanks, Nick, for beginning our Tuesday morning with such a good discussion!

When you support the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club Flag Program, your $50 annual subscription does a lot more than put an American flag in your yard.

Funds raised through the Flag Program allow our club to support more than 20 local nonprofits and organizations serving Rockwall County, including the Rainbow Room, Lone Star CASA, Children’s Advocacy Center, Boys & Girls Club, Meals on Wheels, Shoes for Kids, Texas Valor Project, Helping Hands, and many more.

Your support helps local children, families, seniors, veterans, and neighbors who need a helping hand. We also fund local scholarships and send area students to Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).

Most of the money raised stays right here in Rockwall County, supporting the community that supports us.

Fly the flag. Support Rockwall. Make a difference.

Thank you, Rockwall!

Because of your support, the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Stars & Stripes Flag Program continues to make a real difference in our community. Every flag subscription helps fund local scholarships, Camp RYLA, and organizations that serve families and children throughout Rockwall County.

When you see American flags proudly displayed across our neighborhoods on patriotic holidays, you're seeing a community that believes in giving back.

If you're already part of the Flag Program, thank you for your support. If you've been thinking about joining, we'd love to have you. For just $50 per year, we'll place and retrieve a beautiful American flag at your home for eight patriotic holidays, and every dollar stays hard at work in our community.

Thank you, Rockwall, for helping us serve our community one flag at a time.
