One of the best parts of awarding scholarships is celebrating students as they take the next step toward their future. We are proud to announce the recipients of our 2026 designated scholarships...
⛵️The Scott Self Memorial Scholarship was created in 2021 with the intent of recognizing and celebrating the students who are pursuing a job in the trades and who share Scott’s philosophy that hard work is a key to success.
RECIPIENTS: Brennan Hejny and Dillon Powell.
Brennan will attend Texas State Technical College and pursue Electrical Construction and Solar Certifications.
Dillon is pursuing a career in Automotive Technology and Custom Fabrication at WyoTech.
🔥The Trast Family BBQ Scholarship is awarded exclusively to a Senior who has been a member of the 205 Pitmasters for a minimum of two years and exhibits the qualities of leadership, dedication and service.
INAUGURAL RECIPIENT: Emma Victoria
Emma will attend Texas A&M University where she'll study flood modeling and environmental analysis.
⛳️The Todd Freeman Memorial Scholarship was established in 2020 and recognizes the accomplishments, on and off the golf course, of a graduating seniors from Rockwall High School’s golf team.
RECIPIENTS: Hudson Green, Brynn Rice and Van Leugers
Hudson will attend the University of Texas Dallas to study Business.
Brynn is pursuing a degree in Finance at the University of Texas at Tyler.
Van plans to attend the University of Oklahoma to study Accounting.

🎉Caps off to these scholarship recipients! Rockwall ISD students who were enrolled in the CTE Educational Practicum at the Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy, and worked at least a full year as ROCK Aides, were recently presented with "Grow Our Own" scholarships from the REF!
🎓These six graduating seniors will be pursuing a degree in education and could very well return home to begin their journey as educators in the community that helped shape them.
✨Recipients include Elise Harding, Ashley King, Travis Kropp, Sidney Reeves, Juan Pablo Salazar and Allisson Vasquez.

🎳Most call it fun, others may call it “challenging” but we call it RECORD BREAKING! The 2026 REF BOWLING CLASSIC, presented by Satterfield & Pontikes Construction generated an all-time high of $52,019 thanks to our sponsors, donors, bowlers, bidders and guests. WOW‼️ It's amazing, but not surprising, what our community does when we come together for a common cause and have a little fun while doing it. 🫶
