October is Bullying Prevention Month!

Did you know? About 1 in 5 high school students report being bullied on school property.

Bullying can happen in person or online, and every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and respected. Through awareness, prevention education, and intervention, we can all play a role in creating safer spaces for youth.

Today is Purple Thursday, a national day to wear purple and show support for survivors of domestic violence. Our Children’s Advocacy Center is proud to wear purple in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Together, we stand with survivors, support families, and help build a community where everyone can feel safe, supported, and heard.

Last week, we participated in the Rockwall County Library Community Resource Festival, where we spent the evening sharing resources, connecting with like-minded organizations, and enjoying activities alongside local families. Between the arts and crafts, petting zoo, and Rockwall Sheriff's Posse, there was something for every age group. Thank you to the Rockwall County Library , for hosting such a fun and impactful event for our community! 💙

The CAC enjoyed attending the Royse City Chamber luncheon and hearing updates from State Representative Katrina Pierson. Events like these provide valuable opportunities to stay connected, informed, and engaged with the issues affecting our communities. Thank you to the Royse City Chamber for hosting and fostering collaboration among local leaders and organizations.

11 years of roaring support, generosity, and impact! 🏍️🧸💙

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Americas Guardians Motorcycle Club (AGMC) for hosting their 11th Annual Rockwall County Bikes for Tykes - Teddy Bear Ride benefitting the Children's Advocacy Center for Rockwall County.

This year, around 300 motorcyclists rode through Rockwall County in support of children and families impacted by abuse, helping raise more than $120,000 for our mission, the largest amount ever raised in the event's history, while also providing hundreds of teddy bears and comfort items for the children we serve.

For 11 years, AGMC's unwavering commitment has made an incredible impact. Through Bikes for Tykes, they have donated well over half a million dollars to the Children's Advocacy Center, helping ensure local children and families receive the support, hope, and healing they need.

We are deeply grateful for AGMC's time, passion, energy, and dedication to making a difference in the lives of children. Year after year, this amazing group demonstrates what community, compassion, and service truly look like.
