About us: Bentonville Garden Club Established in 1947. Federated in 1948. Our mission in 1948 was and is now “To make Bentonville the most beautiful and friendliest city in Northwest Arkansas.” Bentonville Garden Club today is following the mission started so many years ago by a group of women with names we know today. Such as, Massie, Craig, Compton, Peel, McKinney, Walton, Burger, Powell, Harrison, Linebarger, Pickens, Rakes, and so many more. We strive “to make our best better," following the strong women before us.

Through dedication and hard work, BGC has maintained this mission through many projects. Projects include; Garden Therapy, Youth Education, City Beautification through our Greenhouse Project, Mayor Prayer Breakfast florals and Greater Bentonville Chamber Awards Event florals, Peel Mansion Holiday Florals and Decor, Conservation, and our fundraiser Holiday Luncheon/Auction in November.
Our accomplishments include establishing an endowment at the U of A that provides scholarships for students pursuing a horticulture degree. Through the years, we have continuously won numerous National, State, Regional and local awards. We are a daytime club of fifty members, and most of our projects take place in the daytime hours.

Our Bentonville Garden Club volunteers poured apple juice, handed out apples, shared apple facts and welcomed excited children with apple stickers! 🍎 Amy, Christi, Jennifer, Julie, Lori, Susan S, Mary Lynn, & Sandy were our lovely volunteers today!
A BIG thank you to Amy and Mike Curry for setting up the tent, providing all of the decorations and giveaways! They are the BEST!
And a special thank you to our garden club member, Rachel Nutt and her family and parents Valorie & Randy Lawson for sponsoring “Patriot” our beautiful bald eagle.

Congratulations to all of our Garden Club committee members being recognized by the Arkansas Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. for their contributions to the Bentonville community and students.

ANNUAL SPRING LUNCHEON!

BGC Spring Luncheon!

As May unfolds around us, we joined together for one final time this club year for our annual Spring Luncheon — a joyful celebration of friendship, beauty, and a year beautifully lived under our theme: Rooted and Radiant.

Indeed, our club has reflected that spirit through shared learning, creativity, hospitality, and the deep roots of community that continue to sustain and inspire us.

During our time together, we will also enjoy a special recognition of our outgoing leadership and the installation of our new officers as we celebrate a wonderful year and look ahead to another season of growth and friendship.

We had two members achieving the Circle of Roses level recognizing 25 years of service. And two members recognized for their outstanding contribution to the club. Plus a new prospective member welcomed. (see Details under each photo.)

And, what a meaningful year it has been. A lovely reminder that while seasons change, the friendships cultivated in this club continue to flourish.

Our BGC youth education volunteers enjoyed celebrating the students today for our final class of the 25-26 school year! We asked the students to recap their year and tell us what they learned. We had so many great speakers. field trips, planting spring and fall gardens and flower beds, and eating cookies!! Look at the beautiful garden photos!! The students and gardens are so inspiring and rewarding! 🌺

Our partners, In Season and Dillard's, are currently preparing styles for our 4th annual fashion show. This event sells out every year, and we look forward to another successful production.

What a wonderful field trip!! Seven of our youth education volunteers accompanied Washington Jr High garden club students and advanced art students on a tour of Crystal Bridges exhibits and galleries. We explored the amazing “America 250: Common Threads” exhibit and participated in an art scavenger hunt in the main galleries. And of course, lunch and cookies were enjoyed by the students!
Kara Branchflower of CB helped lead the tours and engaged the students by using visual stimulation techniques.
