Rock Island Kiwanis Club The Kiwanis Club of Rock Island is dedicated to serving the children of the world, one child, and one community at a time. All are welcome, especially YOU.

If you like making a positive difference in your community, especially for children, then you need to belong to Kiwanis Club of Rock Island. We meet weekly for fun, fellowship and to serve. We work with our local schools through "Key Clubs" helping students develop leadership skills while they impact their world! We hold a few fundraisers through the year, namely Peanut Day, Rose Day and our Bags Tourney. Proceeds provide scholarships and grants to deserving students and nonprofits. Kiwanis Club of Rock Island is the sponsor of First Day Fund which provides school supplies to needy kids in all Rock Island/Milan Schools including Alleman and Jordan Catholic Schools. Kiwanis Club of Rock Island is also sponsor of the Midwest Food Bank, which delivers to the QC Expo Center an entire semi-load of food each month, for 35 local nonprofits, with the only condition being they must GIVE AWAY the food. So, again, if you like positively impacting kids and your community, then you need to positively be a member of Kiwanis Club of Rock Island.

We recently had the pleasure of hearing from David Van Acker from the Quad City Gymnastics Academy. He gave a very interesting program on the history of gymnastics and the success of their family-owned program.

Welcome, Marshall!

Coffee, conversation and a great group of Kiwanians. What a great way to start a Monday morning!

Thank you to Michael Glanz and The Arc of the Quad Cities Area for welcoming us for our Coffee Meet-Up, and to all of our members who showed up, grabbed a cup of coffee and took time to connect. We loved trying something a little different during the fifth Monday of the month!

We’re always looking for ways to Invite, Inform, Inspire and Impact. Sometimes that starts with simply getting together and connecting. We’re already looking forward to the next one! Save the date for the next fifth Monday on Monday, November 30th!

Please join us in welcoming our newest Rock Island Kiwanis member, Marshall Dismer!

Marshall is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones and has already jumped right in, joining us for our Coffee Meet-Up and volunteering at our Kiwanis Peanut Drive. We love seeing new members get involved from day one!

Outside of work and Kiwanis, Marshall enjoys reading, cooking, baking, and spending time with his family. We’re excited to have you as part of the club, Marshall! Welcome to Rock Island Kiwanis!

Today and tomorrow at Hy-Vee, you may see orange vests and friendly, volunteer faces offering up peanuts or candy. It's our annual Peanut Drive! We'd love to offer up a snack and a conversation about how much donations to our Rock Island Kiwanis Club do to help us continue to give back in scholarships, grants, bikes, and community donations.
