Today is World Marrow Donor Day. Here's how you can become a donor.

Registering takes minutes. It's a cheek swab, and it's free. You can join the registry between ages 18 and 35, and you'll stay listed until 61.

If you ever match with a patient, about 80% of donations are collected from your blood over a few hours, similar to giving platelets.

If you're interested, it's easy to register as a donor at the Rock Hill Run & Ramble. The 35th Annual R4 is on Saturday, June 19, 2027.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's Rock Hill Run & Ramble. With your help, we exceeded our 2026 fundraising goal, clearing $120,000 in support of the Trevor Loughlin Foundation's mission to help individuals battling blood cancer and other acute catastrophic illnesses.

Special thanks to the 10 individuals who swabbed to become bone marrow donors. You join the ranks of heroes who get the chance to save a life!

Thanks also to the 100+ volunteers, who include the Rock Hill Volunteer Ambulance Corps, for donating your time to make the event safe and successful. We are also grateful for the support of the New York State Police, Sullivan County Sheriff's Office -Sullivan County, NY, Fallsburg Police Department, and Town of Thompson Highway Department, whose involvement with course safety brings peace of mind to all our participants and volunteers.
