About the Trevor Loughlin Foundation

The Trevor Loughlin Foundation honors the legacy of Trevor Loughlin, son of Suzy and Joe Loughlin, brother of Juliette. Trevor exhibited kindness, compassion and empathy throughout his 21 years of life, and it is this legacy that energizes the foundation to find ways to help others. The foundation accomplishes this goal through raising funds and issuing grants

to individuals and organizations in need, with a particular focus on blood cancers and other acute catastrophic illnesses. The foundation logo is a ‘T’ followed by a dash. The dash represents the continuance of Trevor’s legacy, and what is to come. Please look forward to participating in future events held by the foundation. It is only through the acts of kindness by individuals and businesses in our region that we can continue to help others in our community. The foundation’s largest fundraiser, the Rhulen Rock Hill Run & Ramble 5K (R4), is held annually in June on the Saturday of Father’s Day Weekend. In 2015, the R4 cleared $80,000 to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Trevor Loughlin Foundation, Inc., which issues grants to individuals battling blood cancers and other acute catastrophic illnesses. From these funds, grants were issued to patients battling glioblastoma, ovarian, endometrial, breast, lung, colon, uterine, re**al, esophageal, laryngeal, and tongue cancer, lymphoma, leukemia, hodgkins and non-hodgkins, and multiple myeloma. In addition, patients battling acute illnesses including Atypical HUS, Adrenoluekodystrophy, and heart transplant. These grants are meant to assist the patient and their family with the many expenses incurred while getting well, like medication, transportation, hotels, and even household living expenses, like rent, utilities, food, and daycare. Trevor’s grandfather, Walter Rhulen, died of leukemia in 1998. His Papa John battled a chronic form of leukemia in the last years of his life as well. Trevor strived during his life time to become the type of person his grandfathers, and all of his family, would be proud of. He succeeded. The R4 was important to Trevor, and he volunteered each year to help with the event. As Philanthropy Chair of his fraternity, Kappa Alpha, Trevor organized a blood drive at Southern Methodist University, where he attended college, as he also wanted to make a difference in his community. Thank you for making a difference in your community by donating to Trevor's foundation. DONATIONS CAN BE MADE VIA PAYPAL:
