Yesterday, members of Team Michigan Masters witnessed a remarkable achievement as Kevin Doak joined the elite group of Michigan Masters Athletes who have broken a World Record. He shattered the 45–49 100m Backstroke (SCM) World Record of 56.85, previously held by Kohei Kawamoto of Japan, with a time of 56.37—besting it by 0.48 seconds. The event took place on the final day of the 2026 Speedo Canadian Nationals. Enjoy the video below.
