Young adults coming together in our community to be philanthropic. In 2006 Colin Kennedy passed away unexpectedly in his sleep. Kennedy Foundation, in 2016.

One of the things Colin always wanted to do was have an annual pick-up hockey tournament for family and friends. In 2008 Colin's 6 brothers and some of his friends got together and started a charity tournament in his honor to benefit the Colin F. Kennedy Fund in support of Quad A for Kids. The event has become a big hit with young and old, those that play hockey and those that don't, spawning the creation of a non-profit organization, the Colin F. With the marquee event of the foundation being the Colin Cup, the Colin F. Kennedy Foundation strives each day to better the community by brightening the future of its youth.

We’re excited to announce that the 19th Annual Colin Cup will be held at the Gene Polisseni Center at RIT in Rochester, NY!
📅 Saturday, November 28, 2026
⛸️ Family Skate: 12 PM
🏒 Hockey Tournament: 1 PM
🍀 After Party: 2:30 PM at The Shamrock Inn

There are no limits to where students can go.🎓
This year, 18 Rochester-area teens from 9 schools had the opportunity to experience college beyond their own community through the 2026 Out-of-State College Tour.
From exploring campuses to getting a firsthand look at college life, students were able to imagine themselves in new environments, ask questions, and see what their futures could look like.🎓💚
One student shared:
“This experience helped me feel more confident and prepared to choose and attend a college.”
We’re proud to help students explore new possibilities and see that their potential has no limits. 🍀

153 students had the opportunity to experience enriching field trips throughout the year! 💚

Field trips are an important part of Horizons’ summer and Saturday School programming, giving students opportunities to learn, explore, and create memories beyond the classroom. CFK’s support has helped expand these experiences, including a special overnight capstone trip for Horizons’ 8th grade graduates.

We’re proud to support opportunities that help students discover new places, experience new things, and make lasting memories along the way. 💚🍀

Congratulations to CFK Scholar Mya Fleming on earning her associate degree from Monroe Community College!
Mya’s journey is one we’re proud to celebrate. A 2024 graduate of Our Lady of Mercy, Mya has been a Colin F. Kennedy Foundation Scholar since 2020. Now, she has added a 2026 graduation from Monroe Community College to her accomplishments.

We’re so proud to have supported Mya throughout her journey and can’t wait to see where her hard work and determination take her next. Congratulations, Mya!
