Tiny brings a critical element to the PCHO Board of Directors: lived experience. Her deep understanding of personal trauma, addiction and incarceration cycles, and homelessness has been instrumental at PCHO board meetings and roundtable discussions.

As one of PCHO’s Voices of Resilience, Tiny truly helps us better meet the needs of our clients.

Just over a decade ago, getting clean and proudly staying clean opened Tiny up to trying something new, including a fresh start in Rochester, NY. PCHO first met this remarkable individual in 2024, and we invited her to interview for a seat on our Board. Tiny is grateful for the opportunity to impact people’s lives with her story.

The 2026 PCHO Gala is set for June 25th at Artisan Works! Join us for an evening of networking and insights with Dr. Sam Tsemberis, the father of Housing First.

Housing First is an evidence-based approach to ending homelessness that prioritizes providing permanent, stable housing to individuals as quickly as possible, without preconditions like sobriety, employment, or mental health treatment.

Lori is one of the first clients who come to mind when we think about PCHO Voices of Resilience. We have been working with her since PCHO's early years and we are so proud of her ability to bounce back in spite of life’s many “knock-downs.”

Lori recently celebrated 8 years in the apartment that she moved into with help from PCHO. She’s a fighter and a cheerleader for everyone in her life, including us!

Joyce guides PCHO clients on their path home. In her work as one of our housing stability coordinators, she meets people who feel hopeless. Making a connection with them while getting their housing set up is step one.

As a Voice of Resilience, Joyce meets clients where they are so they can learn how to keep their home. It’s a collaborative approach — Joyce shows up with relevant field experience as well as her own lived experience as a mom. When her clients run with it, she’s there to applaud their success!

When Tiffany finally said "Yes” to detox, accepting that opportunity was the first step toward recovering her life after decades in active addiction. Her next “Yes” was accepting a referral to PCHO that helped her follow through on securing an apartment and staying focused on maintaining her recovery. That’s why Tiffany is one of our Voices of Resilience.

Tiffany’s connection with a housing stability coordinator not only helped her find a place that fits her budget and needs but also helped her stay encouraged and on track to keep all she has worked for. “Things continue to fall into place for me. I wake up clean every day and happy every day.”
