Ebola is spreading in the DRC — the largest outbreak the country has ever seen. Our Jamique CareCenter in Kinshasa hasn't seen a single case. But our team isn't waiting to find out if that changes.

Local staff — the same people who know every child and family by name — have moved to Enhanced Readiness: hygiene stations, screening training, and a direct line to the local health authority.

This is what it looks like when a CareCenter is truly local: ready early, not scrambling late. 💛

🇿🇦 All David needs is one document — and he's in school.

He's 8, quick with a soccer ball, and full of energy. Right now, he spends his days at one of our Ministry CarePoints, where a caregiver is teaching him to write and colour and helping him get ready for a classroom.

There's one problem: he doesn't have a birth certificate, so the school won't enroll him. We're working with his grandfather now to get it sorted.

Before he came to Christ's Hope, David was mostly on his own — finding ways to eat, to get by. That's not the case anymore. He shows up every day eager to learn, and it's obvious he's ready!

Pray with us that the paperwork comes through soon so David can start. 🙏⚽

What a joy it was to spend time with our longtime church partner, MOO Church - Mount of Olives Church in California!

Our International Director & CEO, Jesse Martin, and Donor Relations Administrator, Kameryn Goodin, had the privilege of connecting with short-term mission trip alumni, child sponsors, faithful donors, ministry partners, and many new faces. It was an incredible time of fellowship, sharing stories of God's faithfulness, and celebrating what He is doing through His people.

We're especially praising God because 34 children in Namibia were sponsored! 🙌 Every sponsorship means a child will receive Christ-centered care, discipleship, education, and the support they need to flourish in the love of Jesus.

Thank you, Mount of Olives Church, for your faithful partnership over the years. Your generosity, prayers, and heart for orphaned and vulnerable children are making an eternal difference.

We are grateful to serve alongside you and can't wait to see how the Lord continues to work through your church for the good of His Kingdom. To God be all the glory!

Praise God - Uganda Has Been Declared Ebola-Free!

We're rejoicing over this incredible answer to prayer.

As of July 28, 2026, Uganda has officially been declared Ebola-free after months of dedicated response efforts. We are grateful to God for His faithfulness and for the healthcare workers, leaders, and communities who worked tirelessly to bring the outbreak under control.

Thank you to everyone who prayed with us over the past several weeks. Your prayers matter, and today we celebrate this encouraging milestone together.

While the Ebola outbreak continues in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, Christ's Hope continues serving children and families through our locally led Ministry CarePoints. We have not received any reports of Ebola affecting Christ's Hope children, CareGivers, staff, or ministry leaders, and we remain committed to providing consistent, Christ-centered care while monitoring the situation closely.

Twelve years ago, faithful sponsors and supporters invested in his life through Christ's Hope. Two years after graduating from the program, he's now following Jesus, serving in his local church, and leading the Sunday School ministry—spending his free time investing in the next generation and sharing the Gospel!
