💙 Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Today, we celebrate all the fathers and father figures in our lives and thank them for the dedication, care, and love they show us.

On this day, we can’t help but be reminded of the Foundation’s Men’s Fund. Their mission is to support youth in sports, helping remove financial barriers for youth team sports participation. These men know that a good coach will leave an impression on young athletes that can last a lifetime, and the lessons of teamwork, resilience, and leadership will serve kids long beyond youth sports.

Thank you to fathers of all kinds in our community for who you are and what you do. 💙

We were thrilled to be a part of a great day for Dutton Farm Inc. as they officially opened their new Macomb County location in Clinton Township.

Dutton Farm is a great organization doing great work, but more than that, they are a change-maker. Congratulations to everyone who has worked so hard for this day. We are so proud to support this incredible mission!

Congratulations to Main Street Oakland County on receiving a grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation! Last night the Foundation staff attended the Main Event: What's Next for Main Street, focused on the continued revitalization of Oakland County Main Street communities.

The Community Foundation of Greater Rochester manages a Fund for Main Street Oakland County, which will include managing the funding from this recent grant.

The Community Foundation Men's Fund has shifted its focus to supporting youth by removing financial barriers to team sports participation.

In addition to financial support, equipment and uniforms are often a prohibitive cost for families just making ends meet. If you have sports equipment that you're no longer using, you can help alleviate this burden for kids who want to participate in sports programs!

Donate your gently used and no longer needed sports equipment to the Leveling the Playing Field, Inc. bin at RARA Recreation and help remove barriers to youth sports participation. Everyone should be able to play. Let's help fill the bin!

Another successful Foundation Forum!

This morning, financial advisor David Blake and attorney David Wakefield delivered an informative presentation on making your money work for you. They covered several smart ways for individuals to save money on taxes, explaining investment and estate planning strategies that can benefit businesses, families, and communities.

In fact, our presenters did such a good job, and we received so much positive feedback, that we’re planning on hosting this Forum again as a part of our ongoing series! Stay tuned for more in the future, but for now, join us on August 5th for a Forum discussing how you can avoid being a victim of fraud, identity theft, and financial scams.

Thank you to David Blake and David Wakefield for their well-prepared presentation and to the Rochester Hills Public Library for hosting this event.

We’ll see you in August for the next forum in this ongoing community learning series!
