Did you know? Some imported aluminum pots and pressure cookers may contain lead, especially if they’re old, damaged, or used for long cooking times. Lead exposure can affect children’s learning and development.
The Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning, housed under Causewave, is partnering with Monroe County, NY Legislature and Foodlink to host a FREE community event on lead awareness and safety.
📅 Saturday, June 27
⏰ 12:00–2:00 PM
📍 Foodlink Community Farm (585 Lexington Ave)
Enjoy:
✅ Free food from Macarollin and Foodlink's Curbside Market
✅ Live cooking demonstrations
✅ Free stainless steel, lead-free cooking pots (while supplies last)
✅ Recycling of old cooking pots
Bring your family, enjoy great food, and learn about resources that support healthier homes. And please help us spread the word!
We can't wait to see you there! 💚
