Meet Our Interns: Violet Reichel! πΏ
We're thrilled to introduce Violet, a rising junior at Syracuse University School of Architecture . She arrived at the Center this summer with a deep curiosity about historic preservation and a design philosophy that feels right at home here.
Getting to Know Violet:
π Dream Design Location: Mexico City! Violet is drawn to the way contemporary design meets older courtyard traditions there β colorful, grounded, and intentional.
π Ideal Outdoor Space: Peaceful. Expansive. Immersive.
π Favorite Center Discovery: The way the roof frames the sky and trees, casting a subtle blue-green light into the space. Quiet and intentional β she noticed exactly the right thing.
π΅ Summer Vibes: Lana Del Rey and Addison Rae
π Always Prepared: Lip gloss
π¬ Garden Inspiration: Spirited Away β we would absolutely visit that garden.
Violet came to the Center inspired by Rose's belief that good design is never truly finished β that it should stay flexible, experimental, and alive. As she puts it, "good design is not static, it grows." Rose would have agreed completely.
Garden tours continue Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-4pm.
