We’re celebrating 10 years of the micro:bit!

At CodeVA, our educators have used micro:bit to learn about sensors, build puzzle boxes, and create symphonies of sound. Our favorite moment was when one educator used a classroom full of micro:bits with their students to play Beethoven.

It’s brilliant to see technology become something young people can question, test and create with.

Some are just getting started. Others have teachers integrating CS across subjects and are looking for ways to make that work more consistent and sustainable.

CS Ready helps schools take the next step with tools to evaluate their current CS instruction, identify opportunities for growth, and develop an implementation plan.

Through CodeVA's partnership with the Virginia Department of Education, the foundational level of CS Ready is funded for the first 50 participating schools.
