Please welcome our Spring semester intern, Euodia.

Euodia is in her final year of studies as an Interior design major . She views design as a powerful tool for intimate service + expression and has found meaning in past experiences bridging gaps between design education and youth. She is super psyched to have joined the SFCD team and support such amazing endeavors this spring.

It’s Giving Tuesday!

Today, you have the power to change lives and change our community. A gift, no matter what size, fuels hope, empowers communities and builds stronger, interdependent neighborhoods.

p.s. Our work wouldn’t be possible without the many incredible local organizations we partner with that all strive to make Richmond a better place – why not pick a few and split a donation!

Designing Social Change:
A Community Conversation

Tuesday Nov 12th 6-8pm
205 E. Broad Street Richmond, VA
Seasonal refreshments provided

Join us for a community conversation on how we can use our relationship to plants and principles from ecology and nature based frameworks (such as Permaculture Design) to expand our perspectives and create meaningful social change while honoring indigenous wisdom.

This event is an opportunity to hear stories from practitioners that have applied these mindsets in their gardens, organizations, work and personal lives. Whether you’re a design professional, civic leader or just interested in how to approach opportunities in an intentional, low-effort, and sustainable way, we welcome your attendance.

In a time of radical transition and division, we must gather to combine our knowledge and envision a just future. This event will happen in a “circle” format, attendees are invited to be part of the conversation if they choose to. If you’d like, please bring a small item with a good memory (you’ll get it back!)
