The H.E.L.P. Community Resource Center The H.E.L.P. (Healing, Educating, and Loving People) Community Resource Center officially opened on December 7, 2011.

A group of community based members all aiding, educating, learning and healing in the fight against HIV/STI's (Sexually Transmitted Infections) prevention and other various social, economic, sexual, and ethnic barriers. This is an organization in conjunction with M.H.C. (Minority Health Consortium) and Richmond City Health District which offers free testing and other services after normal business

hours. Our Outreach Workers are members of the community and they possess an intimate understanding of the communities we serve; therefore, enabling them to establish trusting relationships with residents and is the key to educating, motivating and inspiring their fellow community members to make positive lifestyle choices. We provide support and encouragement for all clients and potential clients. Our collective goal is to reach a broad audience in the community where people can come for guidance and support before and after work hours.

The Mind, Body and Soul Conference hosted by the Virginia Department of Health, Division of Disease Prevention is an event for gay/bisexual men and transgender women, September 14-16th. Come prepared to speak with healthcare professionals with expertise on gay/bisexual men’s and transgender women’s health.
