What a beautiful day for our Agriculture Session! Enjoyed a great tour of the Kentucky Horseshoeing School and Turpin Farm! Thank you, Ag Credit for lunch! In the afternoon, we had a visit from our Secretary of Agriculture, Jonathan Shell and ended the day with a presentation from the Beef Council! A huge thanks to Brandon Sears with the UK Extension Office for our wonderful agenda!

Join us in congratulating Dr. Maggie Abney, assistant professor of finance and director of the Evans Banking and Financial Services program at Eastern Kentucky University, for being a Top 25 recipient!

Originally from Lexington, Maggie joined the Richmond community 15 years ago after marrying her husband, Cameron. She has fallen in love with our welcoming, family-oriented community and considers herself fortunate to live, work, and raise a family in Madison County.

When she is not teaching or researching, you can find her on a baseball field with her husband and two sons.

Maggie was unable to join us at last week's celebration, but it was an honor for us to deliver her plaque and celebrate today!

Our Local Government Day was such a great success today. There is so much to learn about Madison County as well as the cities of Richmond and Berea!
