Great information and resources that are available to members and all of Kentucky firefighters.

June is Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Month and as such, we would like to highlight our Line of Duty Stress Injury Reimbursement program. This confidential program establishes reimbursement to current volunteer and full-time paid firefighters, or persons who were a volunteer or full-time paid firefighter in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the previous five years that meet eligibility requirements as set forth in the policy and have submitted a completed eligibility packet to the Fire Commission office.

Reimbursable out-of-pocket costs include:
• Co-pays
• Medication
• In-patient services
• Out-patient services
• Therapy

Each qualifying individual may receive reimbursement benefits up to $50,000. Reimbursements under this policy are only covered for PTSD or post-traumatic stress injury care or treatment that was provided on or after July 1, 2020.

After consideration and consultation with affected Locals, the eligible members of the KPFF Executive Board have voted to endorse State Representative Deanna Frazier Gordon in the primary election for the office of KY House Representative District 81

On firefighter issues, we have a friend in State Representative Deanna Frazier Gordon and ask that you consider voting for her on May 19, 2026.

Proud to see our members putting in the work to sharpen these high-level skills. This FEMA certification is incredibly demanding, and having this expertise within the Richmond Fire Department makes our entire community safer.
