Est in 1989, to uplift and enlighten Muslim women through education in Islam, networking and philanthropy. MWU is an Islamic service organization that attempts to provide knowledge and resources to the women and children in our community and beyond. We offer and/or sponsor workshops related to the large spectrum of issues that are relevant to women today such as janazah workshops, preparation for marriage, health and wellness, politics, youth development programs, sisterhood, financial management, and much more. We participate in National Awareness Campaigns by walking and raising funds for organizations providing research and support for diseases such as Heart Disease, and Breast Cancer. We host events that promote womanhood, and participate in events that create positive images for the entire world to see what Muslim Women truly stand for. We are major supporters of education and offer our support through annual scholarships for graduating high school seniors, volunteering at the local Islamic schools, and raising money at our Annual Woman's Conferences.
