Come experience abstract creation through the fluidity of acrylics and leave with a 8x8 frameable canvas piece of your own! No experience, ability to draw, or supplies needed. All you need is to immerse yourself in the fun, all materials are included!

We’ll be doing the dip technique an easy and accessible technique for beginners to create a beautiful piece of abstract art.

Warning: It’s highly addictive – once you’ve experienced it, you’ll never get enough!

Wall Hanging Gnome with Juliana Kapusta Saturday, November 7, 2026 (9:00am – 4:00pm)

Create this joyful gnome wall hanging by pulling up one loop of wool at a time. The historic art of traditional hand hooked rugs has been admired since colonial times. Like many forms of art, hooked rugs were made out of necessity, utilizing scraps and upcycling. The class includes instruction on the art of rug hooking and the kit that contains a pattern drawn on linen, a premade hat for the Gnome, an unfinished wooden spoon to attach to the Gnome and hold the hat, Velcro double stick to attach the Gnome to the spoon and wool to finish off the back. You will also receive a rug hooking frame, a hook, and hand dyed cut wool. We should have time to finish the main part of this project on the day of class but if not, you will learn all you need to know to complete the pattern at home. Please bring your own pair of embroidery scissors with you to class!

Beginning Flamework Glass Workshop: In this beginner friendly workshop, we’ll cover basic manipulation of solid borosilicate glass using an oxygen/propane-powered burner. Students will be taught how to form and design multiple pieces that will go home with them.

Level Two: Flamework Techniques In this workshop*, we’ll build upon the basic techniques learned in the beginner’s class. We will work with solid borosilicate glass using an oxygen/propane-powered burner. You will be taught how to form and design multiple pieces, focusing on twists, and solid sculpture. You will go home with the pieces you created.

*This is a level 2 class; students should have taken the beginners workshop prior to this class or have prior experience with glass flamework.

A Different Approach to Painting the Landscape – Impressionistic Style with Renee Egan

Saturday, Oct.31, 2026 (1:00pm – 3:30pm) & Sunday, Nov.8 (9:30am – 12:00pm)

Students will learn to paint impressionistically by using a color theory approach and by experimenting with color values and temperatures. We will be layering and mixing different paint colors using a palette knife. Different tools and applications will be taught as well to promote intuitive and creative textures and movements in their painting. Applying paint will be used in a whole new way some examples are rolling color on, and scraping off layers. Each student will use their own landscape references that they will bring printed out in both color and in black and white. We will be using water-soluble oil paints. Supplies will be provided for a material fee of $40.00 due on the first class.

About the Artist: Patti Anderson first discovered nature printing when she studied with a gyotaku (fish printing) master in Japan in 2009. Since then, she has learned many methods of creating art from nature. Patti is an active member of the Nature Printing Society. View her work on Instagram
