Larry & Cathy Scheetz Lung Cancer Foundation LC2 is a nonprofit aimed to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of cancer.

LC2 Foundation, the Larry & Cathy Scheetz Lung Cancer Foundation, was established in honor of Larry & Cathy Scheetz, who both passed away from lung cancer that could have been prevented with proper screening and early detection protocols.

The annual Take a Bite Out of Cancer 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will Not be held this year due to scheduling conflicts and park unavailability.

While we will miss seeing everyone at the race, our mission continues! We are exploring new events for the future and remain committed to honoring the legacy of Larry & Cathy Scheetz by helping local families facing a cancer diagnosis.

We are hoping to support one or two local families before the end of 2026. If you know a family in need, please reach out!
