Very sweet girl who is still working on trusting humans. Needs a home with patience to help her acclimate and blossom. Food and snacks are the way to her heart. Would do very well around other cats who can show her the ropes and that life as a house pet is lavish and fun! The VIP life isn’t so bad!

Sully
3 months male
The sweetest boy you’ll ever meet- not a mean bone in his body! Sully is still scared and very shy, but he loves to be held and cuddled. He has quite the loud purr for face and back rubs. Sully will do well with other cats (preferably young) as he really seems to drop his shy shell around other curious or playful kitties.

Mike Wazowski
3 months male
Mike is a very sweet boy who yearns for cuddles and being loved on. He will turn into a purr machine the instant his little head is scratched. He has blossomed into a curious and courageous kitty who is eager to explore more connection with humans and other kitties.

💔 Your cat is not an exception to the dangers of the outdoors.

Living in Northern Nevada means living alongside coyotes, birds of prey, and other predators. This photo is a brutal reminder of what can happen when people allow their cats to roam freely.

People say, “My cat has always gone outside.” “My cat knows how to take care of itself.” “My cat always comes home.”

Until it doesn’t.

A cat being ripped apart by a coyote is not some far-fetched possibility here. It is a very real risk, and it happens far too often.

And for what? So a cat can wander the neighborhood when there are safe ways to provide outdoor enrichment?

Outdoor cats also face cars, disease, parasites, poison, and other preventable dangers. Meanwhile, native wildlife pays a price, too.

Your cat’s desire to go outside does not outweigh your responsibility to keep them safe.

Please stop confusing freedom with quality of life. A cat can be happy, stimulated, and fulfilled indoors. A cat cannot enjoy that life if it ends prematurely because of a preventable encounter with a predator.

You cannot control the coyotes in your neighborhood. You can control whether your cat is left vulnerable to them.

🐾 KEEP YOUR CATS INDOORS. Stop taking unnecessary risks with a life that depends on you.

Meet O'Malley!
He's approximately 1 year, 5 months old.

He's been living outdoors as a colony cat but recently decided to give it all up for a warm home, ready food, petting and TOYS. He walked right up to our TNR trapper and let himself be placed in a carrier.

After being neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, it was clear he wanted to live indoors. Well, we are here to make his wish come true!

He's a somewhat talkative, big, loveable goof ready to entertain you with his antics and then settle down for some quality snuggle time. He's adapted well to indoor life, uses the litter box without fail, is quickly learning about scratching posts and boards, and is curious but respectful of other cats.

We are up to our eyeballs in kittens! Our increased TNR efforts are resulting in many little ones saved from a life on the streets, but the result is our fosters caring for litters well past what is considered traditional kitten season. We currently have over 60 kittens in foster, with more coming in as fast as we adopt them out!

PetSmart is almost cleared out after an amazing weekend of adoptions, but a few sweet faces are still waiting for their turn! ❤️ These are some of our longest residents, and we need your help getting them HOME!

📍 PetSmart Spanish Springs

🐾 Shube & Sable – These sweet 1-year-old girls came to us after a devastating mobile home fire that claimed the lives of most of their cat family and left their owner displaced. The other surviving cats have all found loving families, but these two girls are still waiting for their happy ending. ❤️ Despite their heartbreaking start, they are incredibly friendly, affectionate, and playful! They’ve already lost one home. Let’s make sure their next one is forever. They can be adopted separately.

📍 PetSmart South Reno

🧡 Our Two Orange Boys – About 4 months old, rescued from a hoarding situation. Funny, playful, and full of that crazy orange-cat energy! Not bonded and can be adopted separately.

🐾 Simba – Approximately 4 years old and an absolute sweetheart! He showed up at a feral colony, where the other cats were picking on him. It quickly became clear this loving boy didn’t belong outside. Likely abandoned, Simba deserves a family who will never leave him behind again. ❤️

🐈 CATMAN!!! – About 6 months old and a total LOVE BUG! Ridiculously friendly, playful, and snuggly. This little angel needs a kitty buddy and a family to shower with love!

Every adoption opens a spot for another cat waiting to be rescued.

Hello my name is Darkness!
I am around 2.5 months old.

I’m a regal, long-haired boy. I enjoy feather toys and yummy liquid squeeze treats. I'm still getting used to being inside but I need a family of my own that can give me time and lots of treats. l will likely need occasional, gentle brushing to prevent tangles and keep me looking my best.

They are 8-9 weeks old.

She surprised us all by being a very special orange girl! She is sweet, curious, and playful, and is very rambunctious with her siblings. She loves treats, toys, and napping in her hammock!

Another surprise orange girl! She took some time to come around to humans, but is now the sweetest girl. She loves to roughhouse with her sisters and do parkour in her enclosure, then enjoy a loooong nap in her squishy bed.

And, finally… miss Minerva!
She is a total love bug and will rush you for treats - the more the better! She is very sweet and also loves to explore. She’s hard to get photos of because she’s always moving!

These sweet kittens lost their home. 😿
They are 14 weeks old.

She is a teeny tiny bundle of love ready to melt your heart! She came in with her friends Flame and Marley after being displaced as the result of a home fire. She is relaxed, laid back, and quiet, is a professional biscuit maker, and loooves pets and affection.

He was also displaced after a fire. He takes some time to feel safe, but once he does he will reward you with purrs as deep as a lion. His silly attitude and playful nature are really starting to come through. He loves being told how handsome he is (no, really!) and is a sucker for treats and belly rubs. He really enjoys monkeying around with his friend Marley!

ADOPTED
Marley
She is the third kitten from our fire group and would love a soft place to land. She is the absolute queen of biscuits and loves a snuggle on a soft blanket while you lavish her in pets. She needs gentle encouragement that humans are friends, but once she feels safe she blossoms into a total sweetheart. She loves to play chase with her friends, Ash and Flame. She needs a quiet space to decompress and get comfortable, and then she will flourish!
