From benefit shows to school visits, we believe it’s the little things that create the biggest change. Make 'Em Smile Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading joy and uplifting the lives of children in need. Founded by Kris Rodriguez in Reno, NV, the foundation embodies the belief that a simple smile can have a profound impact. Through annual toy drives, we collect gifts that bring happiness to children, especially those facing difficult circumstances. Our mission extends beyond just toys; we aim to foster a spirit of giving and community support. Over the years, we have partnered with various organizations, including the Women and Children's Center, Domestic Violence Resource Center, and local schools, to ensure that every child feels valued and cherished. By collaborating with other nonprofits like Forever 14 and Ashlee's Toy Closet, we enhance our reach and effectiveness, helping even more families in our community. At the heart of these concerts is a simple reminder: it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.

A kind word. Including someone. Believing in yourself. Making somebody smile. You never know how one small action can completely change someone’s day — or even their life.

Today kicks off the first of our two-day Kindness Concert series in Carson City! 🙌

Our Kindness Concerts are about reminding young people that they matter, their choices matter, and they have the power to make a difference — sometimes through the smallest acts of kindness.

We can’t wait to sing, laugh, get LOUD, and hopefully leave these students believing in themselves a little more than they did when they walked in. 💙

Our community needs us. Join us Tuesday, September 1st at the Walmart at 4855 Kietzke Ln from 8 AM to 6 PM. We are collecting donations with Ashlee's Toy Closet for Wildfire relief efforts and helping local families affected.

These are the items are most needed:

Bed pillows
Toiletries
Toilet paper, Paper towels
Cleaning supplies
Toys
Pet supplies
Phone chargers
New Clothing
Winter Coats!

Big week ahead Reno! 💙

Had the pleasure of hopping on the news this morning with to share the mission behind our Kindness Concerts this week and why we believe the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference.

This Friday we’ll be bringing that message to students at O’Brien Middle School using music, storytelling, and positivity to remind students that kindness matters, purpose matters, and every single one of them matters.

This movement is growing… and we’re just getting started.

We’re incredibly grateful to do the work we do!

Every school, every student, every moment reminds us why this mission matters. These kids inspire us just as much as we hope to inspire them🙏 through kindness, encouragement, and the reminder that it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.

We don’t take a single opportunity for granted. Being able to show up, share this message, and grow together is something we’re truly thankful for.

The Kindness Concerts are back! We do this to uplift, inspire, and remind the next generation that "it’s the little things" the small acts of kindness, the moments of compassion, and the courage to care for one another that make the biggest difference.

Today’s kids are growing up in a world that constantly tells them they have to have everything figured out… that success means big accolades, being the best in a field, or proving their worth through achievements.

At our Kindness Concerts, we remind students that success isn’t what you have... it’s what you give! That simply being in service to others, lifting someone up, spreading kindness, and doing what you love with purpose is what truly makes an impact. You don’t have to be famous, perfect, or have it all figured out to matter. YOU already matter!

Thank you to Billinghurst Middle School for letting us share our message and play some music to start off the day right!

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it🙏 thanks to our community and partnership with & thousands of toys were delivered to schools and families for Christmas 🎁 I was honored to volunteer alongside my sisters so they could experience the power of giving and understand why “it’s the little things” that matter. These moments stay with you forever. We love you RENO and wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas! 🎄
