Founded in 1976, Montessori in Redlands is a private, nonprofit Montessori school where children begin a life journey of self-realization, love of learning, & global responsibility. We were founded in 1976 by parents who wanted a school that would respect and encourage each child’s inherent curiosity, abilities, and interests. We firmly believe in protecting and nurturing children's natural gifts

while giving them a solid academic foundation. MIR is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation funded by tuition, fees, donations, and grants. We follow the Montessori tradition of fostering ethnic, economic, and intellectual diversity. The school is a true community where everyone is part of an extended "family" that cares deeply for one another and for the broader community.

We’re opening our doors for Discovery Days at MIR! ✨

📍Join us at either 9:30 am or 4 pm, Tuesday, April 28 through Friday, May 1, for a guided opportunity to explore our campus and step inside our Montessori learning environments at the Toddler and Primary level.

Enrollment is currently open for the 2026-27 school year for children ages 18 months to 5 years, and attending a Discovery Day is a wonderful way to begin your admissions journey.

On Earth Day, we pause to appreciate the beauty and abundance of the land that sustains us, and recognize those who have long cared for it. We honor the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation and Cahuilla Band of Indians, the original stewards of this land, whose deep knowledge and care have shaped this region for generations. 🌱

One of our families shared their passion for robotics and brought in a WALL•E replica. Their presentation gave students a glimpse into how robots are built and controlled, and highlighted WALL•E’s role in helping care for the planet by collecting and managing waste. In honor of Earth Day next week, students also reflected on ways they can care for the Earth in their own daily lives. 🤖✨

We’re excited to invite you to our first-ever Discovery Days at MIR!

This is a relaxed, adult-only opportunity for families exploring preschool options and members of the Redlands community to visit the MIR campus, learn more about our Toddler and Primary programs, and get a feel for the heart of Montessori learning at MIR.

CompEdge Racing stopped by MIR this morning and shared helmet safety tips, answered curious questions, showed off some of their skills, and inspired our students to dream big! This visit was a perfect kickoff to the Redlands Bicycle Classic weekend.
