What a wet rainy Sunday. Our volunteers showed up today to serve our community. We had 63 guests arrive today to choose their 10 pantry items. We also had clothing items to pick from today that included shoes, socks, sweatshirts some coats, and blankets as well as toiletry items. Mission Reading is blessed to have such a dedicated team of volunteers to come out no matter what the weather. Please consider us for your non-profit end of the year donations.

Despite the rainy weekend ☔️ we had the pleasure of serving 96 of our neighbors today. Over 960 pantry items were selected and each guest had a meal that included a sausage sandwich with fruit and chips. This is possible when we have regular sponsors.
Every dollar donated goes directly to supporting our pantry. We need meal sponsorship. Send us a DM to find out how you can help.

162 and counting...

That is the exact number of times we have shown up to the street to serve our neighbors! Since August of '23, through the blistering heat, freezing snow, or pouring rain, this community shows up—and this past Sunday, we proudly served 75 people a hot comfort meal at 4th & Court Street.
A massive THANK YOU to Niki, Stacy, Roberto, and Fatz Guyz for providing the incredible food this week. Everyone loved the mouthwatering BBQ chicken and crispy French fries!
Shoutout to our amazing volunteers who worked hard to make it all happen. We couldn't do this street outreach without you. See you next Sunday, Reading!
