Yeehaw! Together, we raised $125,000 for our library at Cocktails & Classics! 🌟

Every year, this fundraiser reminds us that the collective support of our community adds up and make a massive and generous impact on our library's day to day operations. Our heart-driven supporters make sure books stay on our shelves, children have access to free early literacy services, neighbors have access to computers and internet, and so much more. Thank you SO much to all of the "generous outlaws" who supported Cocktails & Classics!

We were so grateful to host Help A Girl Out USA, the Pennsylvania First Lady Lori Shapiro, and the many organizations and local figures who teamed up to orchestrate a wonderful packing & distribution party on Period Action Day. There was so much community magic, seeing neighbors work together to make menstrual products accessible for those in need.

RPL is a proud host site of Help A Girl Out's menstrual product cart in the Teen Loft at Main. All community members are welcome to take what they need and leave what they can!

Reading District Libraries is pleased to invite you to an author visit with Jeannine A. Cook, who will be sharing about her latest book, "Shut Up and Read: A Memoir from Harriett's Bookshop".

Join us at Sinking Spring Public Library after hours to talk with author Jeannine A. Cook about her new book, Shut Up and Read: A Memoir from Harriett’s Bookshop
Shut Up & Read is Jeannine A. Cook’s deeply personal memoir about opening her dream bookshop in Philadelphia on the eve of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We will also have a celebratory Creative Writing Workshop session for teens at RPL Southeast on Wednesday, November 11 to explore the genre of creative nonfiction! We will have free copies of "Shut Up and Read" while supplies last.
