Yesterday, The Village of Reading, Not One More, Reading School District, and Olivet Boys & Girls Club came together to host a Youth Leadership & Violence Prevention Forum.

We’re grateful to everyone who attended and showed their support for our youth and community.

A special shout-out to Communities In Schools, Destinee Parker, the NAACP, Lex Bail Bonds, and our local Magisterial District Justices for their continued commitment.

Our youth walked away with valuable resources, new perspectives, and a stronger sense of empowerment—and that’s what it’s all about.

✨ The Village of Reading Visits Millersville University! ✨

This past week, our students had the incredible opportunity to visit Millersville University!

A huge thank you to the Dr. Rita Smith-Wade-El Center for Intercultural Student Engagement (CISE) for curating an unforgettable experience — including inspiring speakers, a campus tour, and a student panel where our youth connected directly with MU students about college life.

🎓 One of the biggest takeaways from the day was learning about the Talent Search Program.
This amazing program provides academic, career, and financial counseling, supporting students as they graduate high school and pursue — and complete — their postsecondary education. We’re excited that MU’s Talent Search Program proudly serves Reading Senior High School students!

We’re grateful for opportunities that open doors, build confidence, and help our students envision their future. 💛🖤
