🟦 Friends Making Abilities Possible! 🟦

For the fourth year in a row, George and his crew have brought friends and family together for Bags & Brews, a co****le tournament that does more than bring out a little friendly competition. It also raises support and awareness for Made4Me!

💡 How could you make a difference in your community? A friendly competition, neighborhood gathering, or workplace fundraiser can be a great way to bring people together for a cause you care about.

💛 Meet Kaylee! 🐾

Kaylee knows what she wants, and her custom equipment reflects her style! Her new chair features a black finish with neon paw prints, along with a wheelchair tray and phone stand to make everyday activities a little easier.

We love being able to create equipment tailored to each individual, giving Kaylee a place to relax, play, enjoy her phone, and simply be a teen. 💛

Whatever our kiddos dream up, we paint it! 🎨

Made4Me is looking for detail painters and visual artists to join our volunteer team and help bring custom adaptive equipment to life.

You might be painting freehand, stenciling, tracing, or adding colorful details to an adaptation. And don’t worry, you don’t have to be Picasso! We’ll provide the projects and guidance. We just need your creativity and willingness to help. 💙

Our volunteers help make each adaptation beautiful, personal, and unique to the child or adult it serves.

If you’re just joining us, we’re counting down to Giving Tuesday with something pretty special: a one-of-a-kind Radiator Springs play set, handcrafted by Made4Me volunteer and fabricator David.

From the roads and buildings to the tiny details that bring the town to life, every part was thoughtfully designed and created by hand. ❤️

This Giving Tuesday, you’ll have the opportunity to take home Radiator Springs while supporting Made4Me and our mission to create custom adaptive equipment for children and adults with disabilities at no cost to their families.

Meet Lindsay:
Lindsay Jenkins is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our community. She is honored to serve on the Made4Me Board and bring her experience, perspective, and commitment to supporting families with children who have complex medical needs.

Lindsay was inspired to join the Made4Me Board because she believes every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and every family deserves to feel supported and connected. Made4Me’s mission resonates deeply with her, and she is grateful for the opportunity to help advance this important work.

Our shop is where ideas become custom adaptive equipment, and it takes a lot of tools and supplies to make that happen.

💙 Our connection with Made4Me families goes beyond the equipment we create.

Abil-OT Kids Therapy recently visited to reconnect, see what we’ve been creating, and volunteer in our shop. Madison, Boone’s mom, joined them and made the day even more special.

Boone was both a Made4Me Hero and a client of Abil-OT Kids Therapy. To honor him, Abil-OT held a Google review fundraiser and presented Made4Me with a beautiful frame and check in his memory. 🕊

We’re grateful for the relationships we build with our families and the meaningful ways we stay connected to the Made4Me community.

Meet the Made4Me Board! 💙

This week, we’re introducing Brian Pridgen!

Meet Brian:
Brian is an attorney with the law firm Cauley Pridgen Lawyers and primarily represents municipalities across eastern North Carolina and the Triangle.

Originally from Wilson, North Carolina, Brian and his wife, Sarah, are parents to four boys. When they’re not at the variety of sports their boys play, they’re busy chasing their four dogs, two cats, and a bearded dragon!

Brian was inspired by his wife’s work as a volunteer with Made4Me and her many stories of the amazing group of people who give so much of their time and heart to the organization, as well as the touching stories of the children and families assisted by them.

We’re grateful to have Brian as part of the Made4Me Board and appreciate the perspective and support he brings to our mission! 💙

💙 More independence, more possibilities.

Meet Aaron! We recently made custom transfer blocks to help him get in and out of his wheelchair safer and easier, with less assistance.

For Aaron, that means more freedom to move between his wheelchair and the floor, where he enjoys meditating and spending time playing with his kids.

Made4Me serves children and adults, creating custom adaptations that help people participate more fully in everyday activities.

It’s a simple adaptation, but it can make a meaningful difference. That’s what Making Abilities Possible is all about. 💙

Julia received a custom adaptive easel designed to make creating and exploring art more accessible for her.

We love seeing her put it to use—and that sweet smile says it all! 😊

Every piece of equipment we build is designed around the individual, helping children participate more fully in the activities they enjoy.
