Note in the Pocket We provide quality clothing to homeless and impoverished children and families with dignity and love.

Founded in 2005, NITP provides clothing to impoverished and homeless children and their families with dignity and love. When a clothing referral is received at NITP, a group of volunteers carefully selects a week’s worth of clothes from its inventory that are coordinated to accommodate two weeks of outfits. Since 2013, Note in the Pocket has provided clothing to over 36,000 children and families.

Say hello to Grace and Sarah, two volunteers who make sure every Mini-Wardrobe finds its way home. In 2025, they drove 2,064 miles to deliver 646 wardrobes to schools and 174 bags to community agencies across our area. That’s a lot of love on the road!

The Note in the Pocket team came to play!

We had a fantastic time at the BBB serving Eastern Carolinas Battle of the Businesses Co****le Tournament last week. It was great meeting so many amazing local businesses and giving it our all on the boards! Although we didn't win the trophy, the Note team awarded Meg and Shawnice MVPs for securing us a hard-earned spot in the semi-finals.

A huge shoutout to KTB Utilities Inc. for hosting such a great day of competition!
