Note in the Pocket We provide quality clothing to homeless and impoverished children and families with dignity and love.

Founded in 2005, NITP provides clothing to impoverished and homeless children and their families with dignity and love. When a clothing referral is received at NITP, a group of volunteers carefully selects a week’s worth of clothes from its inventory that are coordinated to accommodate two weeks of outfits. Since 2013, Note in the Pocket has provided clothing to over 36,000 children and families. We accept clothing and shoe donations of all sizes (Infant-Adult). We need your help this Saturday, October 17th!

We were recently gifted a brand-new floor scale! This game-changer will allow us to roll full donation carts directly onto the scale, making our intake process faster and easier than ever.

Before we roll out this new system, we need to weigh everything currently in our donation bays.

Join us this Saturday, October 17th from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at our Raleigh volunteer center to help load and weigh carts of clothing and shoes!

We are so grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community through That Station’s “Songs for Change”. We played over 31,000 songs in the third quarter of 2026, and each one of those songs was worth a nickel. Together with Coastal Credit Union, we raised $1,683 for Note in the Pocket! In preparation for tonight's big event, our Durham Volunteer Center is closed today, and our Raleigh Volunteer Center will close early at 12:00 PM.

We’re lacing up our favorite kicks for the best night of the year! Tonight, we celebrate with casino-style fun for the ultimate jackpot: providing local children with confidence, dignity, and love while fighting clothing insecurity right here at home. 👟✨
