A new era for Red Hat Amphitheater is rising in Downtown Raleigh! 🎶 🏗️

The final beam has officially been placed atop the new amphitheater stage, marking a huge milestone toward the permanent venue opening next summer to make way for the Raleigh Convention Center expansion.

The upgraded amphitheater will provide a better experience with more permanent infrastructure, while retaining the great proximity to downtown restaurants, retail, and bars.

But you don’t have to wait until next summer to soak it all in! Red Hat Amphitheater’s current concert season is already underway, so grab tickets, make a night of it in the Warehouse District, and support nearby local favorites like Berkeley Cafe and Crank Arm Brewing Company before the show.

The lights aren’t leaving, just getting out of the way for some seasonal Tree-LC. ✨🌳

Starting today, North Carolina’s Main Street Lights will be temporarily removed while City of Raleigh - Government arborists complete routine seasonal maintenance and inspect the 88 trees along Downtown Raleigh’s Fayetteville Street.

This people-centered public space investment was designed with the long-term beauty and experience of downtown in mind, including caring for the trees that make it all possible. The lights will return in late June, just in time to keep downtown glowing all summer long.

This initiative is entirely funded by private donations to Raleigh Civic Ventures, a 501c3 nonprofit affiliated with Downtown Raleigh Alliance, and was made possible with the partnership of the City of Raleigh. North Carolina's Main Street Lights are sponsored by Duke Energy with additional support from First Citizens Bank, Highwoods Properties, and others.

Discover what makes the Warehouse District a downtown destination! ❤️ 🚆

Starting Friday, May 22nd, DRA will shine a spotlight on the Warehouse District as part of Downtown Destinations: a celebration of Downtown Raleigh’s 6 distinct districts and what makes each one unique.

Once home to bustling manufacturing facilities and coal yards, the Warehouse District has evolved into one of Downtown Raleigh’s most distinctive neighborhoods, where historic character meets modern urban living. Repurposed brick buildings now house a growing mix of creative spaces, cocktail bars, restaurants, shopping, residential living, and tech offices, all contributing to the district’s creative, industrial-meets-modern identity.

Over the next 2 weeks, DRA and friends will share must-try guides, business features, and pro-tips for experiencing everything this neighborhood has to offer. Then get ready for June 5th because the celebration wraps up with a gift card scavenger hunt throughout the district and our annual Pride First Friday celebration.
